“Dog walking is no job; it's a passion!”
Hi there! I have been walking dogs in Hoboken, NJ for over 2 years now, which I absolutely love! I have had an endearing love for dogs since 2001 when my parents finally gave into the many pleas of my two younger brothers and I to get us a dog. We were introduced to Tiki, a magnificent Black Labrador, who became the sister we never had.

I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

Hello, my name is Gideon. I had two dogs when I was a boy, and I have always loved them. As an adult, I personally rescued a 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier who had been abandoned in the street, and she was the best dog ever! Training and raising her taught me a lot about how dogs behave, and how to walk them responsibly. Thank you for reading my bio, I look forward to meeting and walking your dogs!

Ello! My name is Ashley, and I am a nature loving artist whose only desire in life is to love and be loved. I am passionate about creating things and exploring the wonders of life, as well as trying to change the world one smile at a time. I have grown up around many different animals and currently have a ferret who is more like my daughter than my pet. When I can I take her everywhere with me and do all that I can to make sure she has the best life that she can possibly have. It is my goal to open up a cuddle business where I offer love and support, reiki, therapy, and art lessons to those that would like to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. I have a background in psychology that I use everyday to understand all the living beings around me to adapt to the best possible way to interact with them as well as understand what makes them tick as a being.
I'm Camille, I'm a graduate student studying violin in NYC. My animal experience includes volunteering for 5 years at the Randall Museum Animal Room in San Francisco, as well as working in a pet supply store. I grew up around dogs and I would be very excited to walk yours!

“I ADORE DOGS! I'LL GO ABOVE & BEYOND FOR YOUR PUP!”
Hello there! I'm Sashalyn - major dog-lover and fun to be around! I've lived in New York all of my life and know my way around. I enjoy being around dogs of all shapes and sizes, drool or no drool. ;) I grew up around animals and ended up falling in love with dogs!
With millions of residents in the city, New York, New York is also home to masses of homeless animals. Since many animals are allowed to roam and haven’t been fixed, there are a huge number of strays wandering around the city. Luckily, there are quite a few rescue organizations and animal shelters in New York City to help care for these animals and help them find permanent homes! Two of these organizations are BARC Shelter and Animal Haven.
BARC Shelter is located in Brooklyn. The shelter provides food, safety, and medical care to hundreds of animals each year. BARC is a no-kill shelter that is proud to help animals in the city find new homes. While the goal of the shelter is to adopt out animals, those who can’t bring a pet into their home can help by sponsoring animals in the shelter. BARC runs off of donations and sponsorships, so this money is a great help to all the animals who call the shelter home for now.
Animal Haven is a non-profit animal rescue that finds homes for stray cats and dogs in the Tri-State area. Since its founding in 1967, the shelter has helped thousands of animals find new homes, while also educating the community on proper pet ownership and the human-animal bond.
If you are living in the New York City area and think that you may want to bring a new animal into your home, consider contacting one of these, or other animal shelters in the area.
Each January, join hundreds of dogs and dog lovers in Central Park for the Winter Jam. This free event is fun for humans and dogs of all ages! With or without snow, Winter Jam brings frozen activities for the whole family. Take your pup to the Doggie Snow Zone for hours of playtime in the white, fluffy stuff!
Humans can enjoy sledding, snowshoeing, arctic golf, flag football, and much more! Don’t forget to stop by the Taste NY Winter Market for tasty goodies.
The event begins at 11 am and shuts down at 3 pm.
Every March, the Long Island Pet Expo brings people and pets from all over to the Suffolk Community College Health and Exposition Center for two days of doggie-centric fun! At the expo, you can watch demonstrations, races and shows held all throughout the weekend. Take some time to visit vendor booths and speak with pet experts.
All pets must be kept in an enclosure or on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet.
Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door for adults. Children under three are free, while older children are $4 online and $5 at the door. If you want a weekend pass, those are $18.
America’s pastime just got even better! Late each summer, the Brooklyn Cyclones host a Bark in the Park, a day where baseball fans can bring their dogs to a game! While you will love watching baseball with your four-legged friend, you can also learn how to prepare yourself for pet emergencies and even adopt a new friend at the ballpark during the event.
There will be a pre-game pet parade on the field. Later on, you can learn dog agility tips from a pro. You can even get photos with the Cyclones’ mascot!
Tickets are $12 per person. Each person is permitted two dogs in the special seating section.
The Madison Square Barkfest is an annual favorite for residents of New York City. Bring the whole family - dog included - to this event, where you can take pics in a photo booth, listen to live music, enjoy tasty treats, or take your dog through the agility course!
You will want to be sure to stop by the many vendor booths to see what new pooch products you need to take home. Visit the Madison Square Park Conservancy tent to see the plans for the Park’s dog run redesign.
Madison Square Barkfest starts at 11 am and runs until 2 pm.
Start your morning off right on the first Saturday of every month with FIDO Coffee Bark. Stop by Prospect Park with your pooch to enjoy a hot coffee, pastries, and treats for your dog. The event is in a space that allows for off-leash fun, too!
Each month, the event will start at 7 am and run until 9. Afterwards, take your dog on a stroll through the park to work off the morning’s breakfast!
There will also be information about upcoming dog-related events at Coffee Bark. FIDO Coffee Bark takes place no matter the weather, so dress accordingly.
