I have owned dogs since I was 7 years old and have always care for them myself. I have taken onsite and online behavior/ training classes and take responsibility to socialize and train all my dogs. My current dog is and previous dog was a trained therapy dog with hospice. I volunteered at Lollipop Farm, an amazing animal shelter in Rochester, NY where I worked to help socialize animals through walks and interactions with people and other animals. I adore animals of all types and of course dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds. I also love the outdoors and one of my very favorite things is walking with my dog!

“Must love dogs”

Hi my name is Kris. I’m a NYS retiree looking to fill my free time doing something I love. Someone once said they get along with dogs better than some people. I totally agree, if my dogs don’t like you they may notice something I’ve missed. I’ve owned all kinds of dogs, large and small. Can’t imagine life without multiple dogs. At one time I had 5-a rottie, mastiff, golden retriever and two pugs. If you let me walk your dog you can rest assured he/she will be taken care of as I would my own!

Dog Boarding in Syracuse

Humane CNY has been a no-kill shelter serving the Syracuse area since the 1960s, and shows no signs of stopping. Firm believers in providing veterinary assistance such as low-cost spay and neuters or vouchers for subsidized examinations, Humane CNY chips away annually at pet overpopulation and neglect. They host a number of community fundraising events like glamorous galas and weekday wine tastings. With something going on monthly at the very least, there is always a good cause to support here in Syracuse.

This small local nonprofit was incepted nearly ten years ago to reduce overcrowding in the shelter system, with a particular affinity for hound dogs. Today, Helping Hounds has rehomed over 1,000 dogs with their thorough and intimate matching process that finds families the perfect pup for them. Helping Hounds hosts low-cost rabies clinics for the community in an effort to protect working dogs in addition to their presence at all things dog throughout Syracuse.

Leading the crusade against localized animal cruelty, CNY SPCA is the lead investigator in instances of neglect and provides animal control services to the metro area. CNY SPCA provides the community with several education programs in addition to their pet food pantry for those in need. CNY SPCA benefits from several huge annual events that they host that are well loved by the community such as the summer clam bake. Even still, this shelter is one of the largest in Syracuse, and operates on both government funding and the donations of the community in order to find forever homes for dogs, cats, and bunnies alike.
