The shelter has the capacity to house 40 dogs and 100 cats with the goal of permanent placement in appropriate, screened, loving homes for each one. This is why the League relies so heavily on their army of animal foster families to take in as many pets as they can; the more pets fostered, the more pets saved! Foster families go as far as bottle feeding young puppies and kittens until they are eligible for adoption. The League couldn't accomplish all the good they do without their dedicated volunteers and foster families. If you would like to volunteer or become a pet foster family, contact the shelter directly.
If you are looking for a new furry family member, you can check out all of the available cuties up for adoption on their website. Each pet has a distinct personality; they have likes and dislikes - just like we do! That is why it is important to pick the right pet for your lifestyle. The staff at the League will be happy to help you choose the perfect pet for you and your family. Before adopting, remember that this is a commitment and your future furry family member will rely on you for everything from here on in, most importantly for a secure, safe and forever home!
