Santa Paws
Santa Paws is coming to town - to Hillside Small Animal Hospital in Batavia, Ohio, to be more precise! Bring Fido in his cutest holiday hat and come on down for a photo with the man himself! There is a suggested donation of $5.00 which will go directly to the needy pet fund at Hillside Small Animal Hospital. Join in on all the merriment - drinks and snacks will be available and tours of the hospital will also be given. The Hillside Small Animal Hospital is located at 4400 Hartman Lane, Batavia, Ohio. My Furry Valentine
My furry valentine is an annual event that takes place at the Sharonville Convention Center in nearby Sharonville, Ohio. The event is sponsored by the Petco Foundation. This pet palooza is of course dog-friendly; admission is $5 for pups and $25.00 for humans. If you are looking to adopt a new furry creature, there will be hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and other tiny creatures vying for your heart! Come in and get your swag bag, plenty of free treats for Fido, raffles, games and aisles of vendors for all your shopping needs. This sounds like a great way to show Fido how much you love him. Maybe you could even get him a new furry friend to play with!24
Pet Jam
Pets are our jam - and so is PET JAM - the annual summer event held in Batavia, Ohio that celebrates all things PET! Of course, this event is pet-friendly, it is also kid friendly (and pawrent friendly!) There will be live music, dozens and dozens of vendors selling treats, food, gifts, dog-cessories and anything your little pup could ever dream of! There will also be a beer garden, a family zone and lots of furry, adoptable friends to meet and maybe take home with you! All the money raised will go to the League of Animal Welfare's many wonderful programs to feed, care for and house stray, sick and homeless pets. Mark your calendar now - you won't want to miss this one, and neither will your pets!12
Wildflower Walk at Sycamore Park
Spring is in the air (or it soon will be) and that means its time for the wildflowers that have been sleeping all winter long to taste the sunlight and bloom! This dog-friendly event is open to the whole community and it's free! Wildflowers only bloom for a short time each Spring so you won't want to miss this. Make sure your furry friend stays on his leash as you walk and that you are a responsible paw-rent and clean up after him as well. Be sure to bring your camera to capture these plants, flowers abd pooches in their full glory!
Batavia Village-Wide Yard Sale
Don't you just love a yard sale; the thrill of the hunt - you never know what you can find! Now imagine dozens and dozens of yards selling mountains of stuff! This dog-friendly event is held in the early Spring of each year, so check the Village's calendar of events as the season rolls around again. Be sure Fido is well behaved and stays on his leash while you stroll the Village for bargains and finds of all kinds! Get some fresh air, a little exercise and maybe a treasure or two.
