Greyhound Adoption of Ohio in Chagrin Falls, Ohio is the largest and oldest greyhound adoption organization in the state! Their mission is clear: Their greyhounds are their family; they won't rest until all their greyhounds are placed in loving, forever homes. Greyhounds are a loving breed who will care for their people to the ends of the world and back. Many, if not all, of the greyhounds offered for adoption are former racing dogs and for that reason, potential adopters MUST know that they will need to be on a leash when in public. They are sight dogs and have been taught to fetch and retrieve at very fast speeds. Before they are adopted, all greyhounds will be spayed/neutered, get updated vaccinations, be tested for heartworm, be dewormed, have a complete dental cleaning, be microchipped and evaluated for any behavioral issues. If you are unable to adopt a greyhound, contact the shelter for volunteer and foster opportunites.
