Cresenta hosted our doxie Lyle for a last-minute boarding request, and he had a great experience. She sent us videos and kept us updated, especially since he was a bit nervous at first. I couldn t recommend Cresenta enough! It was like dropping my pup off with a loved one. She made sure to not only make Mandy feel comfortable, but me as well! She took the time to show me where Mandy would be and smooth the transition. My girl is a rescue so it can be a bit stressful to find someone with knowledge, trustworthiness, and patience, so Cresenta was a breath of fresh air. Annual Barker's and Beggar's Trick or Treat for DOGS!
Why should your pup miss out on all of the Halloween fun? The folks at Three Dogs Bakery offer an annual Trick or Treat event just for pooches! High Street becomes dog central, with dressed-up puppers roaming the roads. Throw a costume on Fido and head on down for a day full of good times! A number of businesses participate, with the majority of the treats coming from Three Dogs. Upon registration, you get two bags - one for treats, and the other for any tricks that your dog may happen to leave on the ground. Check out the extravaganza this fall!36
Santa Paws Party (Photos with Santa), Westerville, OH
Smile big, puppers! Bring your pooch for his photo with the one, the only - SANTA PAWS! Come and capture some magic on film to make a much-loved keepsake you can enjoy all the year through! The paw-ty is at DIY Grooms in nearby Westerville, Ohio each December. All dogs must stay on their leash while they wait their turn to see the big man. Could your pup use a little pampering while he waits for Santa? The staff at DIY Grooms will be happy to accommodate you! Happy paw-lidays to all!24
Mt. Adams Reindog Parade
Hundreds of costumed wonderpups and their parents participate in this family-friendly event every year! Dress up your pooch in his craziest costume and head to the Reindog Parade. Get yourselves a bite to eat and browse the many vendors on the streets of Mt. Adams before the parade steps off at 12 noon. There will be prizes for best small dog costume, best large dog costume, multi-pet costume (more than 2 dogs) and of course, the coveted dog/owner look-alike costume. This parade is quite a hoot! Head on down to Mt. Adams for a great day with your pup!12
WAG! Dog Festival
Come and see what all of the barking is about! Each year in the summer, WAG! throws an amazing day of canine fun that your dog won't want to miss. The event includes contests, good eats, demonstrations, free samples and live entertainment. There are even areas for your pooch to beat the heat, like the WAG! Ice Castle or the Water Bark Beach. Spend the day with your good boy or girl having tons of fun, getting free swag and even learning a thing or two. Do all of this while supporting a great cause - all of the proceeds go to support more than 30 local dog organizations!
Bark for Life of Hilliard
Take your dog for a walk to save lives! Thrown by the American Cancer Society Bark for Life, this walk is done to raise funds for cancer research. The walk takes place in Hilliard Municipal park during the month of October. But the event doesn't end when the walk does! All participants are treated to an afternoon of fun, filled with games, contests and even a demonstration or two. Some years, a trainer even comes out to help you and your pup work together like the pros!
