Motel 6 Medina
Hit the road with Fido and stay at the dog-friendly Motel 6 in Medina, Ohio. If Fido wants to bring a furry friend along, it will only be an additional $10.00 fee. Cats are also welcome. This hotel has cable television, air conditioning, an elevator (comes in handy for older people and older pups), an indoor pool and hot tub, free parking, large desks, telephones, ice machine, soda and snack vending, 24 hour front desk agents, free-wifi and clean rooms and comfy beds to curl up in when your day is done. Grindstone Tap House
The Grindstone Tap House is located in nearby Berea, Ohio with outside, dog-friendly seating. Grindstone has an extensive bar and a DELICIOUS menu. Be sure to try out their famous chicken and waffles, or maybe a brick oven pizza, St. Louis ribs, or a burger paired with a craft beer or two and enter nirvana. Is your mouth watering yet? The Grindstone even offers the best entertainment events - from local favorites like the Spazmatics, to the GeezeCats or Disco Inferno, you will bop till you drop at this food stop! Chippewa Inlet Trail
This trail is one of 1600 rail-2-trail projects and it is the PAWfect place to walk your pup friend. The trail is 3.95 miles and is paved with asphalt and crushed stones. Share the trail with your fellow walkers, doggos, runners, bikers, and inline skaters. Make sure you pick up after your pooch, please. If you are a birder (aka a bird watcher) you might be able to spot some American avocets, sandhill cranes, bitterns and even bald eagles along your way! The trail is clean and nicely maintained by the park staff. Take a leisurely stroll with your pup amidst shaded trails flocked by trees and greenery and pure scenic bliss. Skyway Drive-In Restaurant
The Skyway is located in nearby Fairlawn, Ohio. Drive on in and be served by car hops with your best buddy by your side. Skyway has been serving up excellence since 1952. The meat is always fresh, never frozen so that means juicy perfection! The food is served AFTER you order so there will be no cold food or soggy fries here! The menu will make you and your canine buddy drool as you anxiously wait for it to be delivered to your car. And what would a car hop restaurant be without a freshly made milkshake - they really have it all. Drive on down with your furry friends and leave the rest to them!
Santa Paws Open House
This dog-friendly event will be held at the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in nearby Wooster, Ohio. Get Fido's picture with Santa Paws and check-out dozens of local pet vendors to find Fido that extra something special for his stocking this year. Who's a GOOD BOY (or girl)? You are! So treat yourself and Fido with a special yummy treat at the bake sale. Of course, dogs will be available for adoption during this event and the adoption will be reduced. Refreshments for Fido and his people will be provided. Come in and get in the holiday spirit at this great event!
