Sittings take place at your home and boardings take place at your pet caregiver's home.
All pet caregivers offer pick-up and drop-off for boarding services.
Your pet caregiver will send photos and videos throughout the service in addition to a thorough report card.
Wag! is the nation's fastest-growing network of pre-screened and insured pet sitters and dog walkers. In less than 15 minutes you can book a nearby dog sitter, daycare provider, or dog walker, who'll take complete care of your loved one - at their place or yours.
“Nothing like the unconditional love from a pet.”
I’m Brian. My wife and I recently moved to Sandusky to be closer to family. We are both veterans and animal lovers. We have three dogs that keep us entertained since the kids are married and living out of the country. I love being outside and would love to spend time with your pets. Let me and your pet get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Hi, I am Taylor. I have grown up taking care of animals ever since I was a kid, everything from Dogs, Cats, Chameleons and Pigs. Let's chat, I look forward to meeting you and your fur child.
Hi there! My name is Emi and I currently live in West Lafayette, IN. I have grown up with larger dogs my whole life. I have interned at O'Connor Animal Hospital for a summer where I gained kennel experience and knowledge of veterinary practices. Throughout my high school career I boarded dogs in my own home and also was a petsitter to dogs of all sizes and personalities! I'm 21 years old, bilingual in Spanish and English and studying Wildlife biology and Chinese at Purdue University.
“I treat others the way I want my dog to be treated”
I have been walking dogs whether mine, friends or families for all of my life. I have always loved dogs and love working with dogs. I have owned my own dog training business and have worked as a vet tech for 20 years. I now have a 5 year old son who I am supporting on my own and would love to be able to financially do more for him. Doing what I love is one way I hope to achieve this, which is walking dogs.
If you are wanted to adopt a furry buddy, check out the website of Doggie Detour and make an appointment to meet your potential new best friend. The staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the dog. They will also explain the lifetime commitment and responsibility of adopting a dog, the proper care and feeding of the dog, proper exercise and medical care needed to keep them healthy and the importance of spaying and neutering all pets. This will not only keep those animals from potentially ending up on "death's row" in a shelter and being euthanized, but it will also keep the pet population down and drastically decrease the risk of testicular, ovarian and other cancers for that pet.
If you are an animal lover and are ready to be an adoptive pawrent or would like to volunteer to help this small but mighty group of animal advocates, please contact them directly.
In the mood for some fresh, local produce and fruits, maybe even some homemade jams, jellies or syrups? Bring the whole family (including a well-behaved leashed Fido or Fifi) and stroll along the many vendors set up to display their yummy goodies at the Sandusky Farmer's Market! Other products for sale are beeswax products, cut flowers, homemade pies and honey. The Farmer's Market is located at the corner of Hancock and Market and runs from June through October on Saturdays from 8:00 am to noon.
Ahhhh! Fresh air and the great outdoors - there is nothing like it! If you and your family need a touch of both, head up to Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area located in Sandusky County! Your furry friend can even join you for your adventures if they stay in your control on their non-retractable leash and you clean up any messes they may leave behind. Now the day just got even better - fresh air, the great outdoors and time with your pooch! Make sure to take your camera in case you spot a deer!
You are going to want to mark your calendars for this event (that takes place in early December) because it is a great, family-friendly, dog-friendly good time! You just need to bring a new unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item to participate - oh and the ugliest Christmas sweater you can find! The toys will be distributed by area churches and the food items will benefit the Gibsonburg Food Pantry. So come on down and participate or cheer on your friends, family and neighbors with your furry friend! On your mark, get set - give!
The weather outside isn't really that frightful so why not head on out for a little family fun with ma, pa, the kiddos and your well-behaved, leashed doggo at Creek Bend Farm! Visitors are welcome Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 5:00. (Please note, The Nature Center will be closed from December 23rd to January 7th for the holiday.) Bundle up and go for a family hike (make sure to clean up after your pet), let the kids participate in some arts and crafts, catch up with old friends and enjoy your time together during the chilly season! Creek Bend Farm is located in nearby Lindsey, Ohio, Sandusky County.
If you live anywhere near Sandusky, Ohio, you know all about the family amusement park, Cedar Point. Did you also know you could participate in an annual half-marathon each year in June held at the park? There is a 5K and a 1-mile run one day and a quarter-and half-marathon the next. Prizes are awarded to the faster woman and man in each race. Did we mention you can bring your own cheering section, including your leashed doggie? Not a runner? Cheer for runners with the hundreds of other supporters. Mark your calendars for June and get ready to have some fun!
