Fido will love a nice walk at the Swan Creek Metropark! There is so much to see, as birds, deer, fox and raccoons call this place home sweet home. Be sure to do your doody duty and pick up after Fido to help keep the park clean. This preserve provides a getaway from big city life without actually leaving the big city. These 441 acres are not just pretty to look at, they provide crucial feeding and resting ground for migratory birds and a nesting area for resident species. Check-out the scenic overlooks along the trails, the swinging bridge and the wildlife feeding stations. Enjoy a brown bag lunch with Fido at the picnic area. What a wonderful way to spend the day with that furry friend of yours!12

Have a seat outside with your best furry pal and enjoy all Ye Olde Durty Bird has to offer! They are located downtown near Mud Hens Stadium. Order something from the bar to quench your thirst, like a beer, a frozen drink, wine or colas and don't forget a big, tasty bowl of water for your ever faithful paw-tner. Choose from appetizers like sliders or wings or go all out and order their famous New York Strip steak. Should you happen to drop some on the ground, we are sure your pint sized cleanup crew will be happy to oblige cleaning that up for you! The restaurant was originally built in 1867 as the Grand Hotel and now proudly serves as one of the best places to meet and eat with your friends and family - furry and non-furry members!
Middlegrounds Metropark Off-Leash Area
Off-Leash area? No, that is not a typo! Head on over with Fido to the Middlegrounds Metropark and let him run leash-free in this designated area. The park does insist that all dogs are spayed/neutered, are current on their vaccinations, are licensed and are over four months of age. There are two separate fenced in areas, one for small dogs and another for larger dogs. Run Fido Run! Think of the fun he will have meeting and greeting all the finest pups Toledo has to offer!
