Hi, I’m Bethany. I am a very active, nature and animal loving young adult. I have one child, one cat, one dog, and last but not least, one husband. I am a skilled homemaker, and I always devote myself to any task I take on. In my spare time, my family and I like to take walks through the park and creeks searching for artifacts and observing nature. I am dependable and trustworthy; you can always be sure your pet is safe and cared for when with me!
My name is Raven and I love spending my time with dogs! I grew up with a dog named Loki that was with me for 15 years. I now have Beans, a 7 year old shelter rescue and Collie mix that came from an abusive home. He brightens my day when I come home and see his excitement to go for a walk! I have volunteered at Animal Charity in the past as a dog walker.

Hi! I’m Searra and I absolutely love spending time with dogs and I have dog sat for many family members and friends over the past few years. These sittings would usually be a week to two weeks long. I preferred staying with the dogs because dogs seem to get lonely quicker than cats or any other pet. I would take the dogs out for walks and then play with them after! I’m in college right now for psychology and I’m currently enrolled in a course known as AAI which is animal assisted interventions. This gives me understanding on dogs stress signs and aggression signs, even the calming signs they portray. Along with that I volunteered at the Washington humane society for about 2 year. There I would take the dogs out to play and get some sun!
Hi my name is Natalie and I have the pleasure of doing life with my sweet boxer Bean! I grew up in the Thousand Oaks area. I have been working with animals for around 4/5 years now. Ever since I turned 18 and people started to trust me with watching/ walking their animals. I've been working with Dogs for a while now and I'm very comfortable around them. No matter the breed or size, I love animals. I always put the animals first and make sure they have everything they need. Letting me walk your dog would be a win for you and your animal!
Hi..my name is Sam 28 yr old male. I have had dogs my entire life and enjoy staying active! I have a large fenced in back yard. I don’t currently have a dog so this is my way of reconnecting with them. I’m a very responsible person who has been a pet sitter in the past. I also have State, US Marahal, and ICE security clearances so not just anybody is walking your dog. At the end of the day I enjoy caring for animals and they will always be well fed and properly hydrated! Thank-you!!

All dogs are housed in loving foster homes to help them become socialized with other people, kids and pets. They are fed only the highest quality food while they are at the foster home and receive extra TLC from their foster family. Remember, lots of these dogs have a not so happy past; they deserve all the love and care that they can get. The volunteers strive to make sure every dog knows they are special, loved and safe.
If you are interested in adopting one of their animals, contact the shelter. You can fill out an application form, and then a volunteer from the shelter will come and do a home visit to see if your home and yard are safe. If it is a good match, there will be a 2-week trial. In the event that things do not work out, the pet will be brought back to his foster family and all except $50.00 of your adoption fee will be refunded. But hopefully, after the two weeks is up, you'll have a new furry family member!
If you would like to become a foster family to one of their loving pets, please contact the shelter. By fostering one of their pets, you are showing the animal they are loved and that they matter. Legacy reminds you that becoming a foster parent to an animal is a huge commitment and should not be entered into lightly. The pet will require daily care, exercise, feeding, love and training. You are making a commitment to foster the pet until they are adopted into their forever home; this could be a brief or a long-term commitment.
