The Enid SPCA's mission is to end the euthanasia of adoptable shelter pets. They believe that by adopting a forever friend, you not only change that lucky pets life, you will also gain a sense of well-being, better health and a snuggle buddy to share endless, fun and special years with! If you are ready to make that lifetime commitment to one very lucky animal, Enid SPCA hopes you will consider adopting from their shelter. They have lots of wagging doggos and meowing kitties that just can't wait to meet you. Will it be love at first sight? Come on in and find out!
By adopting a shelter pet, and not purchasing a pet from directly from a pet store, you are ensuring another animal a secure and safe haven to live in while waiting for his or her forever home. Did you know many pet stores take in "puppy mill" dogs to sell? You can do your part to stop the puppy mills from making any kind of profit from the over-breeding and deplorable care those poor animals receive by getting a pet from the SPCA.
Enid SPCA is passionate about rescuing animals from those same deplorable conditions, vetting them and giving them lots of extra love and attention. Most puppy-mill dogs don't even know what a hug feels like. It is truly heartbreaking!
Enid SPCA also offers grooming services through Angie's Pet Plaza (an annexe of the rescue itself), spay and neuter assistance to low-income families, and a pet food pantry to name but a few. Did you know that by spaying and neutering your pet, you not only do your part to keep the pet population down, but your pet's risks of testicular and ovarian cancers is drastically reduced! Nationwide, over 3 million pets a year are euthanized due to over-crowding. Enid SPCA wants to do all they can to get that number lowered.
If you would like to adopt, volunteer or foster one of Enid SPCA's furry love bugs, please contact the shelter.
