Hi there! My name is Aspen (like the tree) and I'm a lifelong animal lover. My dog experience starts with a wonderful German Shepherd/Yellow Lab mix named Lacey who I grew up with. Later on, my passion for animals led me to volunteering for the humane society and working in veterinary clinics and hospitals. I love meeting new dogs and would be excited to meet yours!

Hello! I've been with Wag! for over two years now but I've been walking my own dogs for nearly two decades. I adore all dogs, but small pups -- like my Beagle, Clover, and my Tibetan Terrier, Penny -- are my favorite. I look forward to walking your dog soon!

Hello, I'm Ron. My wife and I are the proud owners of Meli, a 5 year old labradoodle, that we walk frequently. I have house sat and cared for multiple dogs for over 20 years. My thought is that the dogs well being is my highest priority. My wife tells me that I haven't met a dog I didn't like, and she's right! I'd love to help you with your pooch. Dogs rule, by Wagging!

Hi there! My name is Sabrina and I have always had a deep passion for animals. I love to work with them in any way that I can and I especially love dogs! I've had my own pup (Gracie Lou) for over 10 years now and I regularly volunteer with animal organizations in my free time. I've had the pleasure of working with a wide range of dogs with varying needs over many years. I truly love and appreciate all animals for who they are. I currently am pursuing a career in animal energy healing and take a calm loving approach with all of the animals I see. My ultimate goal is to love your pupper with lots of positive energy and make sure they are safe, happy, and healthy! Some notes on my walking style: I typically use a sturdy leash with an added traffic handle and LED light for added safety, I use eco-friendly compostable poop bags, and all pups will receive some TLC and water at the end of our walk!

“Green-haired friend to every pet!”
I walk and care for dogs / pets professionally for 14+ years. I’ve loved animals all my life! As a kid I would go knock on my neighbors’ doors and ask to walk their dogs for fun, which led me to pet-sitting and dog-walking jobs and volunteering with my local animal shelter. To every service I bring a can do attitude, knowledge gained from a degree in animal behavior and physiology, and first aid certification just in case. I'm fit, friendly, and would love to be your dog's new pal!

Raleigh Hills is a peaceful neighbourhood in the metropolitan area of Portland, a city which is regularly listed as one of the most dog-friendly locations in the United States. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that there are so many shelters, rescue groups, and animal welfare organizations in the area that can offer assistance and hope to animals in need of a second chance.
Animal Aid is a perfect example. This non-profit animal rescue and welfare organization has been helping pets and the people they love since 1969. Operating on a no-kill philosophy, Animal Aid is dedicated to ending animal suffering by offering assistance to abused, homeless, injured, and sick animals, and helping the pets in its care find their way to loving forever homes.
It also promotes the spaying and neutering of pets to prevent overpopulation, and educates the public about a wide range of animal welfare issues. Donations and volunteers are essential to keep Animal Aid going and to ensure that it can continue saving the lives of furry friends in need.
Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals is another paw-some local rescue group, and it works tirelessly to save homeless pets trapped in high-kill shelters. For more than 15 years, this inspirational organization has been rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters as far away as California. Rescued animals receive a medical evaluation and treatment, spaying and neutering, placement in a foster home when available, and are then matched with loving owners.
Just like Animal Aid, Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals also relies on the dedication of volunteers and generous donations from the wider community to continue saving lives. If you’re looking for a pet rescue group to support, this Beaverton-based group is well worth considering.
The annual Doggie Dash is Portland’s biggest fundraiser for pets and their people. Hosted by Oregon Humane Society, this paw-some event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the society continue to provide assistance to animals in need. All the fun takes place in May at Portland’s Tom McCall Waterfront Park, with the main highlight being the run/walk. With your pet by your side, you can complete either the 1.5-mile Doggie Dash Classic or the 2.5-mile Bridge to Bridge route and raise money for a very good cause. There are heaps more to see and do on the day, including pampering your pooch, a doggy bubble booth, and even the chance to talk with an animal communicator, so this is one event you don’t want to miss!
A glamorous fashion show featuring a range of adorable and adoptable dogs — just tell us where to go and when so we don’t miss any of the fun! The Haute Dog Fashion Show is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events on the Portland doggy social calendar. A joint initiative of One Tail at a Time Portland and Victoria, this chic event features adoptable dogs modelling hot looks from local designers. Other highlights include a raffle, delicious food, cocktails, and the chance to socialize with plenty of other dog lovers and their pets. Best of all, you can take it all in with your pooch by your side!
If you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with your furry friend, you’ll love this grrr-eat annual event! Mutts on the Mountain is held in August at Mount Hood Meadows. An outdoor festival for dogs and their people, this event gives you and your canine the paw-fect excuse to relax on the mountainside and enjoy some live music, treat yourself to food and drink, and browse products from a range of pet vendors. You can explore one of the dog-friendly hiking trails, treat your pooch to a doggie snow-cone, decorate a dog collar, win exciting raffle prizes, and generally have a wonderful day out with your pet! What’s not to love?
Throughout the year, humane societies and animal welfare organizations across the country hold glamorous fundraising galas and balls. Most of those events don’t allow you to take your dog along with you — but this one does! Tail Wag is Oregon Humane Society’s highly-anticipated summer soiree. Held in July in the spectacular surroundings of the Lewis and Clark College Estate Gardens, this woof-tastic fundraiser features a seasonal three-course dinner, local wine, signature cocktails, lawn games, and some grrr-eat live music! Funds raised support the society’s hard work to help animals in need, and you can enjoy it all with your well-behaved dog by your side.
This annual fundraising dog walk and festival allows you to spend some quality time with your dog, meet plenty of other animal lovers, celebrate canines of all shapes and sizes, and raise funds to help animals in need. Strut Your Mutt is hosted by Best Friends Animal Society and raises money to support the organization’s lifesaving efforts, or the efforts of your choice of local animal rescue group. You and your pooch can join heaps of other dog lovers to strut your stuff and generally have a wonderful time, plus enjoy that warm, fuzzy feeling that you get from helping animals in need!
