Sweet Tea Festival
To be Southern is love to sweet tea! And we don’t mean in a casual, order it once in a while at dinner way. Sweet tea is in the DNA of South Carolina, each resident having their own method to the sugary madness. Similar to other towns’ First Friday events, Summerville has Third Thursdays. Each September on Third Thursday, the Annual Summerville Sweet Tea festival kicks off in historic Downtown Summerville. Leashed dogs are welcome to come along and enjoy live music, sweet tea tasting, and plenty of vendors!36
Lowcountry Pet Expo
Hosted by Lowcountry Paws, the Lowcountry Paws & Claws Pet Expo comes to the Charleston Area Convention Center every Autumn! For just $3 admission, this expo grants you and your furry friend access to a sea of vendors, service providers, and opportunities to add another member to your family. Showcasing animals from snakes to sheep, this event will connect pet owners to everything they might need in addition to having games and activities for the entire family to enjoy!24
Barks & Brews
Just as the sights of Spring set upon us, Oak Road Brewery hosts the annual Barks and Brews fundraising event in partnership with H.F. HELP Rescue! This event goes all day long and is free to attend. There will be live music and food for purchase past supper time. If guests bring an item on the donation list at HF HELP, they will receive 10% off of their purchases! Leashed dogs are welcome to kick-back on the patio while you enjoy a cold one.12
