Woofstock
Groovy, baby! Woofstock is a festival dedicated to Peace, Love and Dogs! Whether your pup is large, small or somewhere in between, there will be plenty of activities just right for every dog and their paw-rents! Let your pooch try his hand (well, paw) at the agility course, jump over the hurdles, race up the ramp, through the tunnel and over the see saw - sounds like fun! There will also be face painting, frisbee, lots of socializing and vendors for us humans to keep occupied. Join this city-wide celebration and get free treats for your furbaby and come home with lots of wonderful memories of your pawfect day! Like, far out!36
Gone to the Dogs Swim
When the weather changes from summer to fall, a wondrous event takes place! At the end of the swimming season all over the city, dogs are welcome to take the plunge, splash around and have some big fun! Make sure to make your calendar and keep your eyes open for the location (it changes each year). Up to two dogs are allowed to join each human for this Gone to the Dogs Swim event, so if you only have one pup, he can bring a furry friend with him to enjoy the cool waves! All pawrents are responsible for cleaning up after their furry, wet friends!24
Winter Wonderland at Falls Park
Bring the whole family out to this annual November through January light show! Fido is welcome to check out the lights from the safety of his 6-foot leash. There will be over 250 festively decorated trees and almost 400,000 LED lights - that is over 26 MILES of flashing, twinkling lights! Come on out and get into the holiday spirit. Spend some time with the family and do a little holiday shopping at the many scattered vendors throughout the property. This beautiful display is aptly named - it is a winter wonderland! Falls Park
This beautiful, scenic park is welcome to the whole family and is located in the middle of the city. Fido must be on his leash when inside the park. This is an excellent place to get some fresh air and take in some beautiful scenery! If your pooch needs a walk, why not take him here? (Just be sure to clean up after him, please). The area has amazing trails and many gorgeous waterfalls. Be sure to keep an eye on your little ones and Fido near the Falls. A perfect day filled with family memories awaits you at the scenic Falls Park. If you are going to be in the area, this is a must stop on every itinerary!
Sioux Falls Parade of Lights
It's the most magical time of the year! Bring the whole family out (yes - that means your leashed little pupper is welcome too) and be ready to be dazzled by millions of lights as the brilliantly illuminated floats make their way from 13th Street to 5th and down Phillips Avenue. Be sure to get there early to find a perfect spot to watch this amazing parade! Do a little window shopping, grab some hot cocoa or a snack and settle in for a great night! Don't forget your camera - you will want to capture all these lights to look at over and over again! Remember, if you bring your pup, be sure to be a good paw-rent and clean up after them!
