My name is Kyrstin Baker. I'm from a small town in South Dakota and have been working with dogs my entire life. I lived on a small farm and worked at a horse rescue center for over a year. I've volunteered at animal shelters, worked in my family's dog grooming shop, have pet sit for clients and friends, and even trained our family dogs in basic commands like "sit," "roll over," and "shake." Animals are a huge part of my life, and you can be sure that if I walk your dog, I will treat them as well as I would treat my own.
My name is Maggie. Growing up my family had Rottweilers, Siberian Huskies, Pomeranians, and Miniature Pinschers. Judge, my Shiba Inu, has been with me since a tiny puppy for 8 years! I adore animals and can’t imagine my life without a furry companion! I have experience with special needs, elderly dogs as well as timid rescue dogs that require a lot of patience. I am an open book and look forward to meeting your fuzzy friends!
Hello, my name is Gabriela! I am an animal lover! Since a young age I knew that this would be my passion! I have walked dogs and also done sitting and boarding. Can't wait to walk your best friend!

Hi there :) My name is Kendall and I absolutely love being able to help others. I promise to love your furry pal as my own. Speaking of my own, Kyra is a 6 year old Yellow Lab that cannot sleep without her Black Lab stuffed animal. I can’t wait to help you out!
Hi I am Carlie! I have two little dogs who sadly don’t enjoy walking due to their age and I miss being able to take doggos on adventures! I have knowledge on all sizes and breeds of dogs due to volunteering at local animal shelters!

Hi there! My name is Jazlynne and I am a recent graduate from UCF! I moved to Sioux Falls to be with family during this pandemic and I am still here! I just bought a house and I’m excited to settle down for a bit after these crazy times. I am an avid animal owner, lover, and caregiver. I have owned dogs since I was 8 and have been walking and sitting dogs since I was 15. There is always a section of my heart that can only be filled by taking care of the furry best friends.

Almost Home Canine Rescue even offers their own spay/neuter program at the rescue for low income families. Through this program, the rescue prevented the birth of 6500 unwanted puppies and kittens! There are so many dogs alive right now that need our love and help.
Are you ready to become an adoptive pet parent? Almost Home Canine Rescue sure hopes so! Please check out their website or call the shelter to get the party started!
Almost Home Canine Rescue is also dedicated to saving abused and over-bred animals from the horrors of puppy mills so they can get the medical care they so desperately need, get socialized and rehabilitated to become part of a loving, forever home! The rescue relies on any and all donations they receive either through grants or donations to keep all of their animals healthy. If you are in a financial position to do so, please consider a kind donation to this very worthy cause.
If you are able to become a foster parent or volunteer, Almost Home can definitely use your assistance and will be ever so thankful for it.
Together we can all make a measured difference in the lives of all animals. So, let's go!
Groovy, baby! Woofstock is a festival dedicated to Peace, Love and Dogs! Whether your pup is large, small or somewhere in between, there will be plenty of activities just right for every dog and their paw-rents! Let your pooch try his hand (well, paw) at the agility course, jump over the hurdles, race up the ramp, through the tunnel and over the see saw - sounds like fun! There will also be face painting, frisbee, lots of socializing and vendors for us humans to keep occupied. Join this city-wide celebration and get free treats for your furbaby and come home with lots of wonderful memories of your pawfect day! Like, far out!
When the weather changes from summer to fall, a wondrous event takes place! At the end of the swimming season all over the city, dogs are welcome to take the plunge, splash around and have some big fun! Make sure to make your calendar and keep your eyes open for the location (it changes each year). Up to two dogs are allowed to join each human for this Gone to the Dogs Swim event, so if you only have one pup, he can bring a furry friend with him to enjoy the cool waves! All pawrents are responsible for cleaning up after their furry, wet friends!
Bring the whole family out to this annual November through January light show! Fido is welcome to check out the lights from the safety of his 6-foot leash. There will be over 250 festively decorated trees and almost 400,000 LED lights - that is over 26 MILES of flashing, twinkling lights! Come on out and get into the holiday spirit. Spend some time with the family and do a little holiday shopping at the many scattered vendors throughout the property. This beautiful display is aptly named - it is a winter wonderland! Happy Pawlidays to all!
This beautiful, scenic park is welcome to the whole family and is located in the middle of the city. Fido must be on his leash when inside the park. This is an excellent place to get some fresh air and take in some beautiful scenery! If your pooch needs a walk, why not take him here? (Just be sure to clean up after him, please). The area has amazing trails and many gorgeous waterfalls. Be sure to keep an eye on your little ones and Fido near the Falls. A perfect day filled with family memories awaits you at the scenic Falls Park. If you are going to be in the area, this is a must stop on every itinerary!
It's the most magical time of the year! Bring the whole family out (yes - that means your leashed little pupper is welcome too) and be ready to be dazzled by millions of lights as the brilliantly illuminated floats make their way from 13th Street to 5th and down Phillips Avenue. Be sure to get there early to find a perfect spot to watch this amazing parade! Do a little window shopping, grab some hot cocoa or a snack and settle in for a great night! Don't forget your camera - you will want to capture all these lights to look at over and over again! Remember, if you bring your pup, be sure to be a good paw-rent and clean up after them!
