It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! Bring the whole family, including your leashed furry family members, and head out to Gateway to experience festive holiday memories! Now through January 3rd, you can get your skate on (sorry Fido - you must stay outside the rink and no retractable leashes please), watch a holiday movie or enjoy some classic holiday music performed by carolers and local choirs. Sip some hot cocoa, soak in all the brisk, wintry air and enjoy this holiday season with your whole family!.36
Paws & Claus
These are a few of my favorite things - paws and claus! Bring your leashed cat or doggo (no retractable leashes please) and come on down to the Stone River Mall. Make sure your pets have been nice and not naughty because they are going to have to answer to the big man himself - Santa! Get their picture taken with Santa and come home with a treasured keepsake perfect to put on the holiday mantel this season! Make sure to mark your calendar for the first few weeks in December and make it a day to remember for the whole family! Happy Pawlidays to all!24
Nashville Pet Expo
Come to nearby Nashville for a pet-a-paw-looza! All things pet will be happening at the Nashville Pet Expo in October, so be sure to mark your calendar for this can't-miss event! Bring your furry, leashed friends on non-retractable leashes or carriers and check out all of the fuzzy, meowy, chirpy, bark-tastic fun! There will be tons of vendors with pet products, treats, food and all the latest pawseccories, educational sessions on grooming, behavior and nutrition and lots of pet- (and people) friendly activities! This is a two-day event, so why not check into a pet-friendly hotel with the whole family and make a weekend of it!12
Murfreesboro Christmas Parade
Mark your calendar for next year's Christmas Parade - you won't want to miss it! Your furry friend (on a non-retractable leash) can join you and the whole family to this festive celebration of the season! The parade is only half of the fun. After you watch the action-packed parade filled with dancers, bands, horses, civic groups, floats and of course Santa, you can sip some hot cocoa, catch up with old friends and neighbors and sample some of the best holiday treats, festively decorated store fronts and overall holly and jolly ambience!
Murfreesboro's Stones River Greenway System
Let's go for a walk! Lace up your shoes, grab Fido and Fifi's leash (no retractable please), poop bags and some water and head to Murfreesboro's Stones River Greenway System. Be prepared to "share the road" with fellow walkers, runners and joggers, in-line skaters, bicyclists and maybe even pogo stick jumpers (okay, maybe not pogo stickers) on this wheelchair accessible multi-use trail! The trail is well-maintained and clean and winds past creeks, green spaces and lots of spaces to rest!
