Love Halloween? Love getting active with your pooch? Want to raise funds to support a truly paw-some cause? This is the event for you! The ADL 5K & Trick-or-Trot 1K is a family-friendly fundraiser for Animal Defense League of Texas, but it’s also a fun day out for dog lovers young and old (and their furry friends). Held at the Valero Energy Corp headquarters, the event features a 5K course for runners and walkers, as well as a 1K kids’ course with trick-or-treat candy stations along the way. Best of all, dogs of all breeds are welcome to walk, run, and sniff their way around the course with you!

Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park
Everything is bigger in Texas, so when we tell you that Bark in the Park is the state’s largest Pet Costume Contest and Expo, you know it’s a massive event! Held at San Antonio’s Sunken Garden Theater, this woof-tastic event promises an afternoon and evening full of canine-centric celebrations. You and your fur-baby can join heaps of other animal lovers and their pets to enjoy food trucks, pet product vendors, live music, a super-fun kids’ zone, and a heap more! The main attraction, however, is the pet costume contest, which features all manner of cute and cuddly canines modelling their most fetching ensembles. And if you needed any other reasons to go along to this great event, know that all proceeds benefit local animal shelters and rescue organizations!
