Celebrate Valentine’s Day each year with the Smooch-a-Pooch event at Morris Buzz Hamilton Dog Park. Let your dog run wild through the dog park, while you mingle with other dog owners. Don’t forget to pucker up and hit the Kissing Booth for fun photos with your dog. There will be dog treats and Valentines-themed crafts for children.
Stop by between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to join in on all the Valentine’s fun. The Bryan Animal Shelter will be on location with adoptable pets that you can take home that day for free! All adoption fees are waived for dogs at the event.

Doggie Day at the Pool
As summer wraps up, bring your dog for a swim at the Cindy Hallaran Pool in College Station, Texas, as one final hoorah! One evening each August, the pool opens up for dogs to swim before they close the pool for the summer. There will be toys, treats, and door prizes at the event.
Admission is only $2.50 per dog and $1 per person. The pool is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the dogs to swim and play with new friends.
Dogs must be leashed prior to entering the pool and before leaving. Please leave collars on during the swim.

Bark Leaders
At the end of each summer, Aggieland Humane Society goes in search of new Bark Leaders. This dog-to-dog fundraiser finds the next set of dogs to represent the Aggieland Humane Society for the next year. They are featured in publications and at events throughout the year. Winners receive prizes and a professional photo-shoot!
It is free to enter the contest and all proceeds from the event go to the Aggieland Humane Society. Alpha, Senior, and Junior Bark Leaders are announced at the Wiener Fest in October at Wolf Pen Creek Park’s Amphitheater.
If you don’t want to enter your dog, you can still help other dogs win by donating to their cause.
Wiener Fest
Join the Aggieland Humane Society for its biggest event of the year: Wiener Fest! Each year in October, dogs and dog owners flock to the annual event at Wolf Pen Creek in College Station, Texas. Events at the festival include Wiener Races and Wanna Be Races for non-dachshund competitors. There is also a costume contest, so dress up your pup in their best outfit.
Enjoy live music while you browse through a variety of vendors for both pets and people. Grab your collectable Wiener Fest t-shirt and celebrate one of the most lovable dog breeds around.
The day begins at 10 a.m., and registration fees will be announced closer to the event date.
