“Dog hair is my favorite accessory 🐾 !”
I have been the go to pet sitter/walker for the last 7 years for several physicians in the area. I’ve never met a pup that I didn’t love! I’m very loyal, honest, caring, and treat all the babies that I care for as if they are my own. What could be better for an animal lover than to have the opportunity to spend time with animals, and create a fruitful income doing it?!

Operation Kindness is the largest no-kill shelter in North Texas and was founded in 1976. Since then, they have saved the lives of over 90,000 dogs and cats! Over 45 municipal shelters and rescue groups work with Operation Kindness, as OK does not turn any animal away, regardless of medical issues and costs. When other shelters have no space or can't pay for vet care, they call Operation Kindness.
It is a matter of great pride that they have the ability to rehabilitate any dog in their care, and that leads to new opportunities to experience life in a whole new, exciting way! As North Texas struggles to tackle the issue of their homeless pet population, Operation Kindness is a beacon of light in a very dark world. But they don’t do it all alone!
Events and adoptions throughout the year keep the community involved in caring for the homeless animals in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. One of the most popular programs is called “Kindness for Kids Humane Education.” Operation Kindness takes the program to schools and recreation centers where volunteers who are also teachers use friendly shelter dogs to teach amazing lessons. Math, history, science, creative problem solving and the environment are all subjects that relate to the dog’s backstory. The lessons also teach children how to care for pets at home. But even more importantly, the kids develop deeper compassion and empathy for both animals and people. Operation Kindness also holds summer Kamp Kindness sessions, where children interact with shelter dogs to learn valuable lessons in kindness.
Billed as a "social doggie daycare and boarding facility," this place really rocks! While mom and dad are out shopping or doing business, Fido has an acre and a half to play in, pools to slosh around in, and lots of buddy time with other dogs. More than 11,000 square feet of indoor play area means that Fido will be happy even when the weather doesn't cooperate. To give your dog a fun day out, check out Downtown Dog Dallas!
Fair Park opens its doors to leashed dogs during their annual festivities - called Holiday Wonders! Get pictures with Santa, wander through a snowflake corridor or a winter wonderland, and watch the swans on the lake. Although this is normally a people-oriented event, Dog Days of Christmas welcomes dogs during January! You and your pooch won't want to miss all of the snowy fun!
North of Downtown Dallas is the Dallas Arts District, where teams of 2 - 4 owners and their canine companions work together to "save" as many people as possible during an "epidemic." During a walk through the area, you'll answer trivia questions to stop the "outbreak"! This engaging game happens every week on Saturdays from 2:00-4:00 between and October 27th November 11th. Take a break from your normal dog-walk and come try your luck at trivia with your pupper!
Come see this AKC sanctioned, all-breed dog show just south of Dallas in Glen Rose during the month of January! See professional handlers show every breed imaginable or watch the junior showmanship handlers strut their stuff. Obedience classes show off how well-trained the dogs are and it's always amazing to see happy pooches watching their handlers' bodies and facial expressions as well as listening to commands.
On Fairmount Street in Dallas sits a wonderful place to visit with Fido. The Pooch Patio offers grooming and boarding for your furbaby, but it's so much more than a grooming salon! The Watering Bowl at The Pooch Patio isn't just a place to give Fido a drink—it's also a coffee house that serves beer and wine to Fido's humans. Domestic and imported beers are well represented as are glasses or bottles of wine. You can order their signature Mutt-mosa or a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
