Dog Days of Denton
On the first weekend of October, dogs flood the North Texas State Fairgrounds for the Dog Days of Denton! Taking place on a Saturday, dogs and their owners come to this event for a day of arts, crafts, contests, entertainment, and more. Watch dog demonstrations and join in on the costume contest. You can also get professional photographs with your pet!
While all breeds of dogs are welcome, unfriendly dogs will be asked to leave. Dogs must remain leashed throughout the event.

Dallas Dog Show
A twice-yearly dog show comes to Dallas each July and December. Bring your dog to watch the competition and browse through vendor booths. There will also be an opportunity to meet with dog trainers and breeders!
The show runs in July from the 5th to the 8th and in December from the 6th to the 9th. Adult tickets cost $8, and tickets for under five and up are $12. Children younger than five get in for free!
Over the course of the weekend-long show, doors open to the public at 11:30 am on Thursday and 7:30 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

DogFest DFW
DogFest DFW is an annual event that brings hundreds of dogs to Baylor Scott and White Health Kinkeade Campus in Irving, Texas. During the event, join the Walk ‘N Roll portion of the event that helps raise money for Canine Companions, an organization that helps those in need receive service dogs. Join the walk as an individual or form a team to raise even more money!
In addition to the walk, there is also a dog festival that is fun for the whole family.
Registration is free, but required. All participants need to be registered, and you will be given a DogFest bracelet at check-in for the festival.
The exact time of the event will be released closer to the event date.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival Pet Parade
Each year, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival rolls through the neighborhood and with it comes the Pet Parade! On the morning of the last day of the festival, join other dog owners from the DFW area and walk through the streets of Deep Ellum in your best costume with your pup.
At the end of the parade, there will be a costume and trick contest, as well as other fun things! Contests take place at the Deep Ellum Village Stage.
The parade will take place during April. Register online or at the Deep Ellum Dog Park at 11 am on parade day.
Wags and Waves
Spend a day in the water with your favorite pooch during the annual Wags and Waves event each September! As the pool season draws to a close, Hawaiian Falls Garland Park shuts down for the season after a huge blowout bash with the local dogs in the area.
You and your pooch can play in the Waikiki Beach Wave Pool and float down the Kona Kooler Lazy River. During the event, you will receive goody bags and you can participate in costume and trick contests! There will be pet-related vendors and a professional photographer on-site as well.
Registration is $22 per person, and each person is allowed to bring in two dogs.
