Puppy Bowl
Join the Austin Humane Society in February for its Annual Puppy Bowl! Let the Puppy Bowl be your pre-party to the Super Bowl this year. At noon, there will be a family-friendly tailgate at the Austin Humane Society. There will also be numerous activities for children and local vendors with great products!
Be sure to visit with the adoptable dogs, and maybe even take one home with you! The adoptable puppies will participate in the MVP battles. There will also be Puppy Player Prediction taking place all afternoon, so pick the puppy you think will win.
This event is free to attend.

Ruff High Winter Formal
Get ready for a flashback to the 80s and 90s during the Ruff High Winter Formal bash to help Austin Pets Alive and Bailing out Benji! From 6 pm to 8:30 pm on a day in January, Scholz Garten will be full of dogs looking for a good time!
Dress in your best 80s or 90s themed attire, and find something suitable for your pup to wear. Listen to great music from the past, get your dog a free doggy tattoo, win great prizes, and have a good time!
Early bird tickets are just $15, while general admission tickets are $20.

Mardi Gras Dog Parade
Celebrate Mardi Gras with the Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade in Austin, Texas! Head over to the Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company for an afternoon of fun with Rocco the Pug and the Pug Rescue Austin.
Dress your dog in a fun costume to enter the “Bark for Beads” event! These dogs will receive tickets for a chance to win a raffle prize! There will be a prize wheel as well.
Live music will be performed inside the brewery starting at 6 pm. There will also be Cajun food available during the Mardi Gras event, including King Cake.
Admission prices have yet to be determined.

Mighty Texas Dog Walk
The Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk is taking place from 10 am to 1 pm on a day in March. Head over to the Austin American Statesman Complex to participate in the walk.
During the event, you and your dog can dress up in themed costumes! This year’s theme is Carnaval. Take pictures with your dog in front of the selfie backdrops set up at the event. You are also likely to walk away with a bunch of free stuff as there are 1,000s of goodies being handed out!
Admission starts at $30 if purchased before March 20. After that, tickets are $35 per person. Shirts are available for $15 each.
Hounds & Heroes 5k and Family Festival
The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Cedar Park, Texas, is hosting the Hounds & Heroes 5k and Family Festival in April! The 5k kicks off the event at 9 am Be sure to dress your dog up for participation in the Costume Contest at 10. By 11, your dog should be warmed up and ready to show off its best talents in the Central Texas Dogs Got Talent contest! There will also be demonstrations throughout the day and vendors will be on-site. Get ready for Carnival games, too.
Ticket prices will be released closer to the event date. Proceeds help provide Bow Wow Reading Dogs to local schools and Hounds for Heroes Service Dogs to veterans and first responders in need.
