Paws in the Park
Each October, head over to Heritage Park in Weatherford, Texas, for the Paws in the Park event hosted by Parker Paws! There will be a bunch of fun games, a bounce house, vendor booths, raffles, and a bounce house for the kids. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
Entry to the event is free, but to participate in the Doggy Costume Contest or Wiener Dog Race, a $5 donation will be required.
From noon to 4 pm, your dog will love socializing and participating in all the fun events. Don’t forget to meet the adoptable dogs at the event that are looking for new homes!

Rescue Rodeo
You don’t want to miss out on the largest animal event in Parker County, Texas, so be sure to get over to the Rescue Rodeo each May for an afternoon of fun with your pup! During Rescue Rodeo, you can sign your dog up for the Pet Pageant, get in the photo booth for some great professional photos, and meet all kinds of new friends.
Humans can enjoy a day full of live music, food, shopping, and visiting with rescues and other dog owners. The little humans should head over to the Kids Zone. For just $10 for one kid or $5 for each additional kid, your kids can play in the bounce house, ride the pony or train, take fun photos, color, and get a swag bag full of goodies!
The event runs from 11 am to 4 pm, and the Dog Pageant starts at 3 pm.

Dog Bowl
The Cotton Bowl Stadium plays host to the Dog Bowl each April. This fun event gives dogs and their owners an opportunity to socialize and get exercise! The stadium is open for dogs to run and play. There will be splash bowls for a relaxation pool break, vendor booths, and fun photos in front of the Woofus statue!
Humans can enjoy beer and concessions during the event. There will also be live entertainment at the main stage.
While the event is free to attend, if you want to park at Fair Park, you will have to pay a $10 parking fee.

Dallas Pet Expo
For a weekend full of pet fun, don’t miss out on the Dallas Pet Expo on a weekend in May! For two days, the Dallas Market Hall is transformed into a huge pet event with live entertainment, prize giveaways, vendors, rescues, and more.
Bring your dog in for low-cost vaccinations or a free nail trim. Learn about all aspects of pet care from industry experts and find the newest pet products on the market!
Admission to this event is free. Stop by any time between 10 am and 5 pm on Saturday or 11 am and 4 pm on Sunday.
Doggie Paddle
Each September, the Marine Park Swimming Pool transforms to a doggie oasis for the final swimming event of the season! As the first event of its kind in the Fort Worth, Texas, area, the Doggie Paddle event is a fun way to let your dog swim and splash about with friends. With mostly shallow water, the event is perfect for dogs of all sizes!
There are two different swimming sessions. One goes from 11 am to 1 pm and the other from 2 pm to 4 pm. Admission to each session is $25 for one human and one dog. Proceeds benefit local non-profit Spay Neuter Network.
