Walk for the Animals & 5K Doggie Fun Run
For more than twenty years, the Humane Society of Chittenden County has spearheaded this giant celebration and fundraiser in support of their lifesaving work! Taking place at Veterans Memorial Park in South Burlington, the dog-centered day features a one-mile walk through the park, the 5K Doggie Fun Run, music, snacks, contests, and fun activities for the whole family! Leashed, vaccinated dogs are cordially invited to join you for the walk, run, and festivities. Thanks to the generosity of the event sponsors, every penny raised directly benefits the shelter's mission and the 1,000+ animals they care for each year. Registration for the 5K includes a bib, doggie bandana, runner goodie bag, t-shirt, and more! Invite all of your two and four-legged friends out for a day of moving their paws for a great cause!

Barktober Halloween Bash
Come out for an evening of tail-waggin' fun with your furry friend in tow! Switchback Brewing Company started this annual pooch party in 2016 to raise funds for the Humane Society of Chittenden County (HSCC). Dog and human costumes are encouraged! Enter your creatively costumed canine in the costume contest, get some furry family photos in the photobooth, enter for great pet prizes in the raffle, and enjoy some delectable food and beverages. Costume contest categories include Best in Show, Fan Favorite, and Best Duo (for pet and human costume combos). A dollar of every pint and hotdog sold all day long will be donated to HSCC in support of their dedicated efforts for animals!
