Give a Wag! Gives to Seattle Shelters

The Space Needle, Pike's Place Market, Alki Beach, The Gum Wall - there's a lot of specific claims-to-fame in Seattle that make it well-known, but there's another reason that Seattle is gaining paw-pularity, and it's paw-sitively wonderful! Seattle is quickly becoming more and more pup friendly, with doggos reigning over the city via fun canine-themed events, and even more dog-friendly establishments. Part of that pup-friendly attitude is likely driven by the many shelters in the area!

One of the most unique, Ginger's Pet Rescue, is an organization that prides themselves on being the Seattle Death Row Dog Rescue. This 501(c)3 is a non-profit organization that specializes in saving death-row dogs. Their mission is to give pups hope when it seems lost. Though they do not have a physical shelter, they provide pups with foster paw-rents all over the Seattle area.

Of course, the Seattle Humane Society plays a large role in the city, as well. They save over 7,000 animals yearly, without any restrictions on how long animals can stay in their shelter. They welcome all pups, regardless of age, breed, or physical condition, and they specialize in medical care and compassion.
