Paying it Forward, and Loving It!
Why do I do this?
When I was working I was never able to find "that" walker/sitter for my anxious, high energy dog that would make me feel completely relaxed. I would always have moments wondering if she was getting enough love, enough exercise, enough attention. As a "Pay it Forward" for the incredible joy my dog gave me, I decided to become the pet walker/sitter/volunteer that I always wished I had found for my sweet Kiwi.
I have two primary goals in my pet sitting/walking business: first is to exercise, spoil, relax and bring happiness to pets so that they feel safe and loved, second is to allow you enjoy your time away from your pet with the complete certainty that your very special family member is safe, happy, and very loved.

My name is Markus, also known as Mars Saves Dogs. I treat every dog as my own! Using empathy and positive reinforcement as my main tactics, I ensure trust, love, and thus, a loyal bond. As a Certified Animal Behaviorist, I implement science-based methods in my care for every dog.
Safety is a priority and I make sure your dog stays happy while in my care or during training sessions. I believe in using force-free practices for training and handling any animal. Creating a strong bond and communication with your dog is key.
My knowledge and understanding date back to early 2005. I've continuously studied and developed new approaches to care for and train animals. In my spare time, I give back to several local rescues and shelters in San Diego County. My experience comes from both inside facilities and in the privacy of clients' homes. I have a wealth of knowledge and look forward to sharing and teaching good manners and handling techniques for canines.
