I am an experienced dog handler and behavioral consultant with 17 years of experience at local dog shelters, including PSPCA and BVPSPCA. My main goal is to help your dog feel safe and cared for! My own boy, Bruno, is a rescue dog with higher arousal issues who just turned 13. Bruno has made me a much stronger handler. Due to his special needs, we work as a bonded team and he always knows I have his back. Before Bruno, I raised three other rescues that all had behavioral issues.

I got my first family dog Baxter as a child and as I got older I took on more of the responsibility; overseeing his vet visits and end of life care. I spent 5 years working as a dog trainer at a major pet retailer. I helped fit many squirmy puppies (and older, sometimes anxious dogs) for a harness so I am confident in my ability to harness and walk your dog safely. Hello! My name is Emmi and I so excited to meet your pup. In middle school, I began walking and sitting neighborhood dogs on a daily basis. Once I turned 16, I started volunteering at ACCT Philly, working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. A few years later, as soon as I moved into my own apartment I began fostering dogs for various shelters and rescues. I have had 17 amazing foster dogs in the last four years! Hanging out with your dog will never be a job for me, its a passion.
