There are hills all throughout Northwest San Pedro ranging in difficulty depending on where you are in the neighborhood. There are some big hills in the community, so be prepared in case you happen upon one. This is a very large neighborhood, but the hills are scattered, so get ready to sweat if it's an especially hot day. There are many green areas for your pooch to utilize as many of the sidewalks feature grassy barriers between them and roads.

There are a few very busy roads in the neighborhood that you should take caution when crossing. South Western Avenue is probably the busiest because of highway traffic and North Gaffey Street doesn't have sidewalks, so it's best to avoid walking on the side of those roads. The northern part of Northwest San Pedro is mostly industrial parks and barren mountainous land, so there's no need to walk your pet up there. Otherwise, there is plenty to see.
