West Hollywood is a densely populated, bustling region of Los Angeles with endless entertainment and exploration. Commonly referred to as 'WeHo,' the neighborhood is regarded as one of the most walkable regions in California. A significant part of the Sunset Strip calls WeHo home, so you'll be sure to encounter classic Hollywood attractions, tourists, and many different boutiques and eateries throughout the entire neighborhood.

A walk in WeHo is for the human-dog duo that enjoys shopping and entertainment along the way. Your pooch will be in heaven with the number of different doggy stores and pet-friendly establishments throughout WeHo. You'll find pet groomers like Rock Star Rover and shops such as Dorothy and Toto's Pet Boutique along Santa Monica Boulevard. There's also plenty of restaurants that encourage you and your pup to hang out on the outdoor patio like Mocafe and WeHo Bistro. That's only a taste of what WeHo offers and you'll just have to explore for yourself!

West Hollywood sits at the base of Hollywood Hills, one of the hilliest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, so don't expect an easy, flat walk. However, some of the hardest walks provide some of the prettiest views and you'll only find them at the top of the hill. The street with the least incline is Santa Monica Boulevard, but it's also one of the most crowded. Many well-known streets travel through WeHo including Sunset Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. While they offer a lot in entertainment and discovery, always be aware of your pet and stay cautious of passing cars and crossing streets.

There's also plenty of quieter residential areas within WeHo and just off the main streets. These communities offer shaded sidewalks, fewer crowds, and a more relaxing walk away from the bustle of the Sunset Strip. WeHo spans about 1.8 square miles with countless different streets, so you and your furry friend definitely won't be bored walking through this neighborhood!

There are many different green spaces and parks you'll encounter while exploring WeHo. West Hollywood Park is the most well-known in the neighborhood, offering a library, swimming pool, and plenty of scenic walking paths surrounded by a fountain, shaded trees, and benches. The city just recently installed two new dog parks in the area which are perfect for some off-leash time. On Sunset Boulevard, you'll find the William S. Hart dog park which offers a mulch-covered enclosed space surrounded by trees that give just the right amount of shade.

On the east side of WeHo is Plummer Park. This is a historic green space that features a farmer's market every Monday morning. Kings Road Park offers shady paths surrounded by pretty foliage and a perfect area to stop and rest by a waterfall and small pond. Formosa Park is a smaller, quieter spot to get away from the crowds and explore contemporary architecture on pretty walkways.
