Dog walkers and their pets enjoy warm walking weather for much of the year, but may need rain gear in fall and spring and warm jackets for cold winters with light snow. Summers are humid. Take your dog out for a walk early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures dissipate. Check forecasts frequently during muggy weather as thunderstorms are frequent occurrences and it can be dangerous if you and your pup are caught out in the rain. Your dog may be frightened of thunder and high winds with flying debris can cause injury.
