Halifax Villas Condo offers 64 townhome style units centrally located over on Daytona Beachside. Living here puts you close to all the action on Main Street during Bike Week, close to the beach for fun in the sun and Spring Break, and just over the bridge from Daytona International Speedway and the Birthplace of Speed Museum.
Across the Broadway Bridge on the mainland side, you can find plenty of shopping including Volusia Mall and many other retail stores. You can also walk to the beach in approximately ten minutes or to the various nightclubs and restaurants lining A1A. If you like concerts, the Peabody Auditorium offers concerts and many other activities all year round.
Speaking of year-round things, you will love the weather here no matter what month it happens to be. Summers are in the high nineties and winters, short as they are, hover in the low fifties.
The terrain here is flat and densely populated with housing and small businesses. Most of your walking will be done on the sidewalks, sharing space with others in the same area. Your pup may need to be a social butterfly as there could be a good number of other people taking their own leisurely strolls. If your pooch is a little less friendly, stick to the residential spaces that could be a little quieter. Just remember to clean up as you go!
When dealing with the Florida heat, you'll also want to be aware that during the summer months, the pavement can become fairly hot to the touch. For sensitive puppy paws, this will require some caution when venturing out for walks. Consider heading out earlier or later in the day to avoid any burns that may occur because of the hot sidewalks or keep your walks to grassy spaces.
Unfortunately, the nearest and only green space near you is the beach. But when you have 23 miles of sand to hike along, who needs anything else? The beach is a rather unique green space in that it offers you two completely different types of terrain. The soft sand is very challenging to walk in as it tends to suck your feet in. When you get tired of slogging your way through the soft sand, you can turn around and walk back on the wet sand by the water's edge. Not only will both of you find the wet sand much easier to walk on, but you can chase each other around in the surf which is a great way to cool off!
Just remember to keep your pup securely on a leash and clean up after them thoroughly. This helps keep the beach clean and safe for everyone else to enjoy!
