Rogers Seabreeze is a community of single-family homes, apartments, condos, and businesses. The boundaries of the neighborhood run to the beach on the east side and to within a couple of blocks of the Halifax River to the west. It also sits right next to the Peabody Auditorium which hosts a number of events and concerts throughout the year.

Living on beachside has several advantages, including the fact that you are right on the beach! Living here also means being close to a fabulous selection of restaurants serving up everything from fast-food to fine dining. Unfortunately, you are not close to any type of dog park or pet supply store. For these, you will have to drive over to the mainland.

Summers here are everything you could ever ask for with temperatures in the 90s and endless days of sunshine. Winters are mild with temperatures in the 40s and 50s which are perfect for taking long walks.

The terrain in the Rogers Seabreeze area is flat and unremarkable. While this might seem like an insurmountable obstacle when it comes to making your walks interesting, you have to put your creative mind to work for you!

Within and outside of the community, there are many blocks of residential areas for the two of you to explore. Don't be afraid of trying new areas as they will help take the boredom out of your daily strolls. The more new places you can take your dog on your walks, the happier they will be and the more willing they will be to get out there and get in some good old-fashioned exercise!

Try to keep your walks in the summer to the early morning hours before the sun has had a chance to heat up the pavement to the point where it can be uncomfortable to your dog's sensitive paws.

Living here puts you right on the beach which, if you think of it, is one of the largest green spaces in the state! It is also a fabulous place to take Fido out for walks. The dry sand offers an outstanding workout as it tends to grab at your feet with each step. This makes it harder for both of you to walk, giving you an excellent workout. You can then turn around and walk back using the wet sand right alongside the surf. This sand is hard-packed and much easier for both of you to walk on.

If you prefer to go to a park or wildlife area for your weekend walks, there are three within driving distance that are worth checking out. These are the Tomoka State Park, the Tiger Bay State Forest, and the Smyrna Dunes Park, all of which have nature trails for you and your dog to enjoy exploring.
