The Prestige Executive Park Condo is not, as the name seems to imply, a residential condominium building. Instead, the building houses several businesses. Located just east of South Nova Road on Dunlawton Avenue, the condo sits next to a lake belonging to Memorial Park. On the other side of the lake is a large residential community. In the same parking lot is another large office building and both areas provide some decent walking space if you happen to be in the neighborhood with your pooch.
If you need to do any shopping on your way to or from work, Dunlawton Avenue is where you will find most of the big box stores, shopping centers, and strip malls in the city. From a Walmart Supercenter to several hair and nail salons, you can find it all on this critical stretch of road running from I-95 all the way to the beach.
The condo is located right on Dunlawton Avenue, the busiest road in town. You should expect heavy traffic here from early in the morning until very late into the evening, seven days a week. There is a wide sidewalk running alongside both sides of the highway, but unless your dog is comfortable with high levels of traffic noise, this may not be the best place to go walking. You can take the short route over the boardwalk that crosses the lake to get to the nearby neighborhoods.
Here, you are still likely to run into at least some amount of traffic. Depending on the time of day, it could be morning or evening rush hour or the daily school bus runs. No matter where you choose to take your dog out for a walk, you should use a short leash. This will give your pup a sense of security when the traffic noises are at their peak.
Memorial Park, located on the other side of the boardwalk, is the closest green space to you and isn't much more than a small lake with a walking path that runs around it. However, it’s a lovely walk for the two of you and perfect for that lunch break walk. Beyond this, you must drive to any of the other parks in the area.
If you are going to drive, why not take your dog over to the beach? You can drive out on the sandy dunes and park your car. Be sure you park far back enough to avoid the tide if it's coming in. From here, you and your pup have free reign to walk as far as the eye can see! Use the soft sand for a good workout, then use the wet sand for your return journey. Along the way, take some time for a swim and enjoy the warm rays of the sun!
