Windsor Colony is a tiny neighborhood of homes along Newton Road. This is a small but very friendly neighborhood of large homes with a canal running on the west side of it and Central Park Boulevard to the north. For dog lovers, this is an excellent place to live, providing plenty of dog-friendly amenities. There is a large children's park to the east and the only dog park in town with the beach sitting only ten minutes to the east on Dunlawton Avenue.

Speaking of Dunlawton Avenue, not only does this road take you to the beach, but it also takes you west to I-95. Along the way, you will pass the majority of big-box retailers, supermarkets, pet supply stores, strip malls, and shopping centers. If you and your family need something, chances are good that you can find it somewhere along this stretch of highway. This includes the best of the local and chain restaurants in town!

With only one road going down this small corner of the neighborhood, you don't stand much of a chance in getting lost when you're out walking your pup. The area is easy to navigate, though if you're itching for variety when it comes to the terrain itself, you'll have to venture out of this area and into the neighboring ones. The flat ground makes it easy for pups that struggle with mobility to get around, but for an athletic pooch, you're a bit limited on options.

Luckily, the lack of other nearby roadways means that this area will be fairly quiet throughout the day. You may experience some cars passing by as residents leave or return for the day, but the sidewalks should keep you well out of the way of this limited traffic. However, you'll want to take some breaks throughout your walk as there is very little shade in this open area.

A five-minute walk to the east along Central Park Drive and across Spruce Creek Road will take you to the All Children's Park. This is one of the biggest children's parks in town. Along with two large softball fields and tennis courts, there is a small splash pad for kids to cool off under during the hot months of the year. There is also a pirate-themed playground designed to keep your kids happy for hours.

The Seemore Memorial Dog Park covers a full-acre and is a little unusual in that it contains three fenced-in areas instead of the usual two. The third section is for dogs who are disabled, have injuries, or are too old or infirm to hang out in the more active sections. Each area has a watering station for the dogs and plenty of benches in the shade for you to sit on while your pup gets out there and has a good time playing with the others in the park.
