Cross Creek is a small residential community located in the northwest suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta, the state capital of Georgia, is a diverse city with plenty of educational institutions, museums and cultural attractions, historical significance, and opportunities for a thriving nightlife and social scene. You'll find the headquarters for CNN, Coca-Cola, and Delta Airlines, as well as a major aquarium, an art museum, and several historical places that were significant sites during the Civil Rights Movement.

Cross Creek, as a residential community, is home to several condominium and apartment complexes. Outside of residential spaces, there is one local cafe and a golf course located within the neighborhood's borders.

Cross Creek and the greater Atlanta area experience hot and muggy summers with extremely high levels of humidity. While the spring and fall months are mild, the winter months can be quite chilly and bring plenty of rainfall. Thankfully, snowfall is quite rare in this southern area.

Thankfully, Cross Creek has plenty of sidewalks so you and Fido will be safe from the traffic moving throughout the neighborhood. There are also plenty of large, mature trees that will provide shade during the sunny, summer days with beautiful views and crunchy leaves to play in during the colorful fall seasons!

Being part of the greater Atlanta area, Cross Creek is largely composed of artificial terrain. However, the top half of the neighborhood is a large golf course, including a major creek, so it may not feel as urban as other areas of Atlanta. Finally, this neighborhood has some significant hills. They tend not to be rolling hills and, instead, are steeper and can be more strenuous for pedestrians.

The borders of Cross Creek include Peachtree Creek to the north, Horace E. Tate Freeway to the east, Glenn Avenue and Bellrick Road to the south, and Bohler Road to the west.

The northern part of the neighborhood is a large golf course, the Cross Creek Golf Club, and pups are unfortunately not welcomed, even while leashed. Thankfully, there are a few greenways within walking distance of Cross Creek.

Nearby greenways include Tennyson Circle, Beaverbrook Park, Northcliffe and Brookview Park, Pot Luck Gardens, Mantissa Street Park, Haynes Manor Park, Springlake Park, Atlanta Memorial Park, and Underwood Hills Park. Most of these greenways have some paved walking trails, playgrounds, a few sports fields and courts, and some areas for general recreation.

Atlanta Memorial Park and Haynes Manor Park, two connected spaces, make the largest greenway near the Cross Creek neighborhood. These parks have playgrounds, walking trails - some of which go near a creek that Fido may be able to play around in - and places to stop and rest.

Unfortunately, there are no public dog parks near the Cross Creek neighborhood.
