Cherry Hill

Cherry Hill

When you want to get out and enjoy nature with your pup, drive east about 12.5 miles from Lake View to the neighborhood of Cherry Hill in Southaven. In this residential area, you’ll find Central Park, a furrific green space. Here, you and Fido will be able to walk or jog along a network of trails that wanders between two lakes and continues through wooded and open areas. Let your pooch wade in the water or roam through the open fields. Remember to keep your furry friend on a leash and to pick up any waste. After a day in the park, you two can head over to McAlister’s Deli and grab a bite to eat. Dogs are welcome to lounge beside you at the outdoor tables.

Walls

Walls

If you're looking for a convenient place to walk your pooch, hop in the car and drive the 3 miles to the neighboring town of Walls. Robertson-Donald Park has a walking trail that's just paw-fect for a leashed walk! Not only that, but the 12.5-acre facility has open fields, a playground, and a spot to share a picnic with your pooch. Johnson Creek Greenway is another pawtastic spot for you and your furry friend to explore. This 5.8-mile trail starts near Highway 61 at Johnson Creek and heads east toward Horn Lake. Doggos are welcome to use the trail, provided you keep them on a leash and clean up any waste.

Riverpark Dr

Riverpark Dr

Robinsonville is about a 20-minute drive from Lakeview, but a visit to Tunica County River Park is really worth the trip! The main draw of this furrific park is the EcoTrail, a 3-mile trek that makes its way through unspoiled Mississippi Delta Forest and around small ponds and streams. Your pooch will need to be leashed of course, and visitors are asked to stay on the trail to avoid damaging the unique wetland landscape. There's also a paved walking path by the river that offers spectacular views across the water. You'll find a museum here too, unfortunately though, your pup won't be able to enter.

Wooten Park on Nail Rd also has some a couple of trails to sniff and explore. Don't forget to bring bags and water, and keep your pooch on a leash no longer than six feet.

Westwood Shores

Westwood Shores

Even though it’s in another state, the Memphis neighborhood of Westwood Shores is just an 8-minute drive away from Lake View. You’ll find a pawesome park here -- Dalstrom Park is a 75-acre facility with a 1.5-mile walking trail. You and Fido can get some exercise and fresh air as you hike or jog through wooded areas and past the fields and playgrounds.
