The closest dog park to Lake View is 15 miles north in Memphis. This fenced-in park has two sections for dogs to play and water bowls. Biodegradable doggie waste bags are provided so that owners can help keep the park clean and free of pet waste. The park also has benches so that owners can relax and watch their pooches play.
Even though it’s in another state, the Memphis neighborhood of Westwood Shores is just an 8-minute drive away from Lake View. Here, you’ll find a pawesome park. Dalstrom Park is a 75-acre facility with a 1.5-mile walking trail. You and Fido can to get some exercise and fresh air as you hike or jog through wooded areas and past the fields and playgrounds. There are tables in the park where you and your pup can relax while you enjoy a snack or picnic lunch. Make sure you keep your pup on a leash and pick up any messes while visiting the park.
When you want to get out and enjoy nature with your pup, drive east about 12.5 miles from Lake View to the neighborhood of Central Park in Southaven. In this residential area, you’ll find a pawsome green space. Here, you and Fido will be able to walk or jog along a network of trails that wander between two lakes and continues through wooded and open areas. Let your pooch wade in the water or roam through the open fields. Remember to keep your furry friend on a leash and to pick up any waste. After a day in the park, head over to McAlister’s Deli and grab a bite to eat. Dogs are welcome to lounge beside you at the outdoor tables.
Horn Lake is about a nine-mile drive east from Lake View. In this large suburban city, you and Fido will find some pawesome opportunities. Leash up your pooch and head to Latimer Lake Park to get some exercise. With paved walking paths and nature trails, you and Fido will be able to enjoy some outdoor bonding time. Bring a pole along and try your hand at fishing in one of the three lakes in the park while your canine companion rests at your side. Another area park with walking trails is Wooten Park. Remember to keep your furry friend on a leash no longer than six feet while exploring city parks.
The community of Lynchburg is about three miles southeast of Lake View. In this residential area, you and Fido can stroll along the quiet streets or head over to Vinson Park to get a little exercise in the open play area. If you want to jog or walk along a trail, bring Fido to Chapel Park. This small green space has a dirt path that loops around the field and playground. Dogs are welcome in city parks provided you keep them on a leash up to six feet long. When you need a few supplies for your furry pal, head over to the Dog Shoppe on Northridge Drive.
Hop in the car with Fido and drive three miles south to the town of Walls when you want to get some exercise with your pup. Take a few laps on the walking track at Robertson Donald Park. This 12.5-acre facility has open fields, a playground, and a spot to share a picnic with your pooch. Another pawtastic place to explore with your furry friend in the Walls area is the Johnson Creek Greenway. This 5.8-mile trail starts near highway 61 at Johnson Creek and heads east toward Horn Lake. Dogs are welcome to use the trail, provided you keep them on a leash and clean up any waste.
