Tuttle West is a large residential neighborhood located in Columbus, Ohio. This community is roughly 14 miles northwest of the downtown Columbus area. Columbus itself is a major city in the state of Ohio and it serves as the state's capital. The most populous city in Ohio, Columbus is home to plenty of attractions and unique neighborhoods. Residents and visitors can spend their time exploring the city's many museums like the COSI Science Center, supporting the local, professional sports teams, or exploring the various neighborhoods, like the famous German Village. 

Tuttle West, as a residential community, is largely home to spacious townhomes and duplexes. There are also standalone, single-family homes and several apartment complexes in this large, suburban neighborhood. There are a few commercial spaces sprinkled throughout this expansive neighborhood as well, including several churches, local restaurants, a grocery store, gas stations, a children's center, an electronics store, and a golf course!

Tuttle West is an extremely suburban neighborhood, so the terrain is mostly artificial. You will find of plenty of residential neighborhoods with newly built townhomes or houses, all with manicured lawns. However, many of these polished neighborhoods also have well-maintained sidewalks, so you and Fido will remain safe while out getting your daily exercise. 

Something to watch out for are the hills in the Tuttle West neighborhood. As you move to the north or the east, you may experience a significant decrease in elevation. So, as you move south or west, be prepare for a little extra cardio in your workout!

The boundaries of the Tuttle West neighborhood include Rings Road to the north, Jack Nicklaus Freeway to the east, Hayden Run Road and Hayden Run to the south, and Cosgray Road to the west. Britton Parkway and Hayden Run Boulevard are the two major roadways that cut through the neighborhood and may have more congested or high-speed traffic.

Looking at a map, the largest greenway in the neighborhood is actually the Ables Golf course and, unfortunately, is not open for our furry friends to visit. However, there are a few small greenways located throughout the Tuttle West neighborhood.


Haydens Crossing Park and Reibel Woods are both located on the southern border of this neighborhood. Haydens Crossing Park has a playground, some benches, and a large, open field. Located on the northern border of the neighborhood, you will find Kaltenbach Park, Brighton Commons Park, and Woods of Brighton Park. Other nearby parks include Dalmore Park, Balgriffin Park, Ballantrae Community Park, Sandy Corners Park, Trinity Park, Heather Glen Park, Homestead Metro Park, and Heritage Park. 

Heritage Park, located one mile to the east of Tuttle West, has a four-acre dog park with seperate, fenced-in areas for small and large breeds. This would be a perfect place to visit with Fido, especially if they have some extra energy that day!
