Wernerts Corner is a suburban, residential neighborhood located northwest of Toledo, Ohio. Residents of this neighborhood can easily access commercial areas on foot with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, and a variety of other services located in their area. Services are located along Laskey Road, on the community's northern border, and the west end of Laskey Road has a large commercial area while the east end has the Miracle Mile Shopping Plaza.

The climate in this region of Ohio is a humid continental climate with four distinct seasons and walking conditions vary with the time of year. The proximity to Lake Erie moderates the climate somewhat, however, winters are still cold and snowy so warm winter outerwear is required when walking with your doggy pal. Summers are warm and humid and can sometimes become sweltering depending on the weather patterns over the lake. Be prepared with water for you and your pooch on these hot days.
