You'll find several pet-friendly spots along South Street.Doggie Style Pets South is housed here and on the western end of South Street sits Accent On Animals and Pet Snobs Boutique, two local supplies shops. There are also several restaurants with outdoor seating if you're looking for a bite to eat.
The street spans about three miles, so it will take you about an hour to walk the entirety of South Street at a normal pace. South Street is perfect for older dogs who enjoy slow strolls as well as for those who love people watching. There are benches along the sidewalks if you want to stop for a rest. While there aren't a lot of grassy areas along the way, there are a few parks scattered around the area.
Heading west down South Street, you'll find a triangular courtyard with shaded tables around a pretty fountain. South Street is also home to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens, a small outdoor space featuring an array of mosaic art. If you want to give your pet some freedom, the nearby Seger Park also offers a spacious off-leash area for dogs to enjoy.
