Mason is a small town in the middle of Texas. There are not any dog-friendly things to do here, but there’s a vet in town to take care of your pup in case of emergency.

In Fredericksburg, Texas, which is around 40 minutes away, you’ll find tons of dog-friendly fun! West End Pizza Co. has a little of everything: meatball subs, calzone, stromboli, and build-your-own pizzas! Fido is welcome at their outdoor tables.

Flat Rock Park is an hour away in Kerrville. This large park is set on the Guadalupe River. This park  is the only park in town which is off-leash and has an oval road where people can walk their dogs on leash.

If you are looking for German food, check out Altdorf Biergarten and Auslander, two local German restaurants. Both of these restaurants have outdoor seating.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is open to dogs in designated day-use picnic areas, the campgrounds, and the on the Loop Trail (dogs are not allowed on any of the other trails). All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times.

Memphis Dog Park has two massive fenced-in areas for large and small dogs where they can play and socialize off-leash. The larger area is an acre, and the enclosure for small pups is half an acre.
