Knox Park is a great area just north of Uptown Dallas, Texas. Unfortunately, due to this neighborhood's rare location in a much less populated area, there is very little in the way of pet services. However, there is one place, although on the more expensive end of the scale, where locals can stop for just about anything pet related. Canine Country Club And Wellness Center is definitely worth the price with excellent customer service.

Although there may not be many pet options in the area, there are some great local dining options for owners. In this area, you can get everything from coffee shops to On the Border Grill and Cantina and Ziziki's with relative ease. All of these great food options make it easy to treat yourself after a long walk with your four legged friend. Several of these locations also feature outside patio options for your pets.

Knox Park is a rare, less populated area pretty far out from the center of town. This is great because, although it is still flat and artificial, it is less so than just about anywhere else in Dallas. Not only does the spread out area allow for some extra greenery, but the area also has several parks that are well-kept due to the more high priced nature of the area. This makes it a great spot for families with children.

These parks are not only great for dogs, but often feature parks, ponds, and other attractions that will keep your kids and your pets entertained in a safe environment. This is a great relief to parents in the area who want to get their kids out of the house and active. However, all parents should still use caution to watch their children and keep them well hydrated so the fun of the day can continue unaffected.

There are some great neighborhood parks in the area that really help this neighborhood give off a comforting and inviting family image. One great example of this comes from Glencoe Park. Dating back to 1944, this park offers courts for tennis, basketball, and softball, as well as trails and a play area.

Cole Park is another great option featuring a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and shaded picnic tables. Lakeside Park is a more unique option due to its location directly next to a relatively large body of water. It also features walking paths, benches, a bridge, and giant stuffed bear statues.

Garrett Park is another great one with basketball and tennis courts, walking trails, a soccer field, a picnic area, and playground. One final and unique location is Mutts Canine Cantina. This great dog friendly patio features a concession stand with gourmet food and craft beer, as well as an off leash dog park.
