Santa Monica is a very nice area on the northeast edge of Dallas, Texas. This cute suburb is set up very well in order to make running your errands close and hassle free. This also applies to the high number of very quality dog businesses in the area. This freedom of choice allows owners to pick the perfect spot for them and really have a comfort of knowing their pets are always in good hands no matter what.

Groomers are a very important part of the process. They keep your pet happy and healthy and often offer other features like dog training or pet stores that make running your errands even easier. Some of the top groomers in the area include Hollywood Feed, Dee's Doggie Den, Canine Country Club and Wellness Center, Pawtique Grooming, and Dirty Dawgz. There are also some great vets and animal hospitals in the area.

The Santa Monica neighborhood is a lot like most of the Dallas area in that it is very flat and artificial in most places. However, there is one saving grace of the area that adds both some hilly areas and a great place to get fully immersed in nature. White Rock Lake is the perfect place to enjoy the natural views of a beautiful lake. It is also surrounded by well-maintained walking paths that are usually more hilly than what you would find in local suburbs.

Part of this lake is also attached to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens which is a great place to see some beautiful natural scenery that is very rare for the area. Although these two locations are by far the largest natural bodies in the community, well-kept local neighborhood parks can also be a great place to get out of the house and take your pup for a walk.

This area has a great selection of parks, especially when it comes to finding parks next to water. One of the most unique examples of this is the White Rock Lake Dog Park. This great park allows dogs to go right up to the water's edge or even dive in for a swim! The only problem facing this park is that lake access means no fence which means this park is best for dogs who will not try to run off. Off-leash is welcome, however.

Another great park is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. This unique and beautiful 70-acre botanical garden is the perfect way to get a unique look at some beautiful plants that would not otherwise survive in the region. It is also set on White Rock Lake and offers free concerts, exhibits, and classes for children. A final great spot is Samuell Grand Park where you can find more amenities to enjoy.
