Clinton Park Tri-Community is a super neighborhood comprised of Clinton Park, Fidelity, and Port Houston. This is a mixed-use neighborhood with residential, commercial, and light industrial activities. There is a small commercial area with a fast food outlet and gas station within walking distance on the west side of the region while a highly rated veterinary clinic is located in the residential section. The neighborhood is about a 20-minute commute to the central business district.

Warm weather in winter means you and your pup won't have to bundle up to go out on daily walks as sub-freezing temperatures are extremely rare. Hot summer days, however, are very common and can make walking uncomfortable and even dangerous in extreme heat. Take your dog out at cooler times of the day, take water, and seek shady locations for longer hikes. Take shelter when thunderstorms are approaching as high winds, flash flooding, and heavy rain are dangerous to exposed pedestrians and pets.

Clinton Park is a super neighborhood comprised of three districts, however, it is a small area situated around Interstate 610,  south of Interstate 10, and north of the Buffalo Bayou. The freeways are not pedestrian-friendly and create an impediment to on foot travel. Train tracks present in the area also create barriers for dog walkers.

Large holding ponds surrounded by irrigation systems create large open spaces with wetlands. There are also large undeveloped fields in the area and well-spaced residential properties that give the community a rural residential feel. Homes are moderately sized but have large yards and mature landscaping, making the area green.

Most streets do not have separate pedestrians sidewalks, so when walking with your dog, you can choose to walk on grass berms where available or you may need to share the road with traffic. When walking along streets, be vigilant and keep your dog securely leashed. The terrain in the area is level and there are no steep grades to hike up.

There is a hiking trail in the greenway that is just under a half-mile long. Much of the park is open, but there are some shade trees around the walking path.

Galen Manor Park is situated on the east side of Clinton Park Tri-Community. This greenway also has sports fields, facilities, and a walking trail for hikes with your hound. The park is mostly open with few shade trees, so it is not ideal in very hot weather.

Pleasantville Park is within walking distance to the west. This greenway is also open with few trees, but has sports fields and a short walking trail to visit.
