Don’t miss a chance to have fun, make new friends, and experience true Southern hospitality in Palmview South, Texas. This is an independent community of Palmview, about 42 minutes southwest of Rio Grande City. Here, you can enjoy the amenities in AmeriCana: The Bring Center RV Resort. It’s a pet-friendly place with cabins, apartments, and RV sites open year-round! It’s the perfect place to "ruff" it with Fido! Just sit back, keep your pup on-leash, and relax! Another excellent RV campsite is Bentsen Grove Resort. It’s a lovely pet-friendly spot with outdoor activities, sports fields, and a quiet atmosphere, making it a grrreat spot for a digital detox with your best buddy!

Bentsen Palm
The welcoming and quiet community of Bentsen Palm is located in the southern part of Mission, Texas. It’s a beautiful area with parks and lots of local attractions. You can find some of the best shopping in Rio Grande Valley here! However, if you travel with Fido, you'll want to sniff out the local parks. Bentsen Palm Park is a spacious city park that's perfect for spending time with the family and strolling with Fido. Bentsen Rio Grande State Park is another fantastic spot for the whole family. The area features acres of open space to explore on-leash as well as furrific bird-watching opportunities!

Parkland Estates
Parkland Estates is one of many northern neighborhoods in McAllen, TX. It will take a bit longer than an hour to get here from Rio Grande City. This residential district features small and medium-sized single-family homes. Cafes, attractions, and shops are all within walking distance, though! You will also find McAllen Dog Park along Tamarack Ave, on your way to the downtown area of McAllen. The park features an expansive green space with lots of grass, some seating, drinking water, and a fence. This dog park is very pawpular with the locals, so Fido is sure to sniff out some new furry friends!

Sharyland
Sharyland is located in the heart of Mission. This central neighborhood offers residential quarters and a few amenities you can reach by foot -- and paw! You will also spot a variety of hotels and RV parks, which is excellent if you're passing through with Fido. One of the most highly-rated lodging options in the area is Mission Bell RV Resort, complete with an expansive park that's free to visit with Fido! Need to get in some canine cardio? Check out the jogging trail in Bannworth Park, a local city park with lots of shade and a pond to sniff around!

Kane
Kane is a western neighborhood in McAllen with a lot of parks. The mixed-use area is also home to small and medium-sized single-family homes. You'd be barking mad not to check out the McAllen Nature Center. It’s a part of the Parks and Recreation Department in McAllen and offers nature trails for visitors. Puppies are welcome on-leash! Westside Park, to the south, is well-known for its sports fields, but it’s also a great place to have a picnic and enjoy some on-leash time with Fido. There are tons of picnic tables and 4 BBQ pavilions if you want to share a snack. You can even sniff around Summer Breeze Park. It’s also a city park, so a leash is a must!
