Top dog walkers in Pine Park
Wag! Walkers know Pine Park
Pine Park is a triangular community bounded on the south by West King Street, on the west by Thompson Avenue and, completing the triangle, brought together by Lake Drive. This neighborhood is mostly commercial and light industrial with just a few homes. The area seems to be devoted to vehicle repair and maintenance shops, which means that you have noisy neighbors during the work week. The houses here have large yards and there is a vast area of grass and trees along Anne Avenue and where Lake Drive and West King Street connect where you and your dog can play.
When it comes to clothing and feeding your family, you are within a ten-minute drive of almost anything you could want. Among the stores, you can find Harvey's Supermarket, Save-a-Lot, Walgreens, Walmart, and MYDOGSWAG, the nearest pet supply store. If you like to dine out, there are a couple of local restaurants nearby and plenty more within a short drive.
What is the terrain like in Pine Park?
Pine Park is a rough area of town to live in with so many mechanical repair shops within walking distance of your home, bringing in traffic and lots of noise. Traffic can be hectic at times as many people will use Lake Drive to cut off the intersection of West King Road and Clearlake. Both Clearlake Road and West King Road tend to be bustling highways during the day, with the heaviest traffic during the morning and evening rush hour.
If you must take your dog out during these times, you should plan to take your walks in the residential areas to the north where some of the streets have sidewalks for your use. Even in those areas where sidewalks don’t exist, you are far less likely to encounter much in the way of traffic. The flat terrain in the area should make for a stroll that isn't too strenuous or difficult.
How many greenways are there in Pine Park?
There is not much in the way of usable green space in the region beyond the land on the east side of Anne Avenue where one of the businesses parks a lot of cars in the weeds and the area of grass around the Shrine Club. You can probably use both of these areas to walk and play with your dog, but keep in mind that they are private property.
If you hop in the car and take your pup south on Clearlake Road, your journey will take you to what will quickly become one of your dog's favorite places. This is Barks and Recreation, the nearest off-leash dog park. This park offers two large play areas with plenty of water for the dogs and shade for everyone to enjoy! Outside of the fenced-in area, there is a trail you can hike along that goes around the large lake behind the park itself.
