The Aliki Forum Condo is another Aliki family of towering 21-story condos along Daytona Beach. It is located just south of the Bel-Air Plaza Shopping center where you will find a Publix grocery store and several others to ensure you can grab supplies when you need them. At only two units per floor, this is luxury beachside living at its best. Each of the units features a full wrap-around balcony that lets you follow the sun.
There are plenty of excellent places to eat out along the beach ranging from fast-food to fine dining. The one thing you won't find nearby is many parks for you and Fido to play around in.
While you may have to endure up to 39 inches of rain each year, you won't have to worry about snow here. The coldest month of the year is January when the daytime temperatures average in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
What good would it be to live on the beach if you didn't want to spend time walking and playing on the sand or in the surf? You and Fido have a choice between walking along the sidewalks, threading through the residential areas on the other side of A1A or walking on the coast.
In reality, the two of you need to make use of both the sidewalks and the beach if you want to get the most out of your daily hikes. The sidewalks are best for walking on when the weather is a bit coole and they aren't too hot to walk on. During the heat of the day, the dry sand on the beach can reach this same point, but the sand by the water is much cooler and easier to use.
For the ultimate workout, set out early in the morning before the sun tries to heat the sand up too much.
The nearest green space is the beach which runs for miles in either direction. When used properly, the beach can be a great place to get in a workout or simply go for a stroll. The soft sand sucks at your feet, making it harder for both of you to walk. This provides an excellent workout for leg muscles while you walk along enjoying the fresh ocean air. The sand by the water is wet and much easier to walk on with the added benefit of being able to play around in the surf.
If you don't mind driving with Fido to the north, you can take them for hikes in both Bulow Creek and Tomoka State Parks. Here, you and your dog can spend hours hiking along miles of trails looking for manatees in the Tomoka River, searching for any number of wading birds, or looking out for any other animals which call this area home.
