Top dog walkers in Catalina Beach Club Condo
Wag! Walkers know Catalina Beach Club Condo
The Catalina Beach Club Condo is only 2 miles from the Boardwalk Amusement Pier and the heart of the World's Most Famous Beach. Living here also puts you that close to the hottest nightclubs in town such as the Ocean Deck or the Oasis Tiki Bar and Grill. Depending on which club you choose, you may find yourself dancing the night away under the stars as several of the clubs along the beach have decks leading out towards the water.
As for shopping, including pet supplies, the nearest stores are back over on the mainland from here. If you head back over to that side, you are only a short drive from the mall and the many businesses along International Speedway Blvd. You'll also find the track and NASCAR museum.
With summers in the 90s and winters in the 50s, you won't find many days here when you can't get out and take your pup for a walk.
What is the terrain like in Catalina Beach Club Condo?
The terrain here is suburban to the west and beach to the east. You can use either of them for your walks with Fido, depending on where you would like to on any given day.
For example, you can take your pooch for long walks around the many nearby residential blocks on the other side of A1A. Each of them has sidewalks to use for your daily strolls. On the other hand, you have the beach with miles of sand and surf to enjoy. The soft sand will give you a good workout while the wet sand is quite easy to walk on and gives you the added advantage of having the water to cool off in.
Keep in mind that during the summer months, the sand, like the pavement, can become too hot to walk on. During these months, you should take your walks during the early morning hours while everything around you is nice and cool.
How many greenways are there in Catalina Beach Club Condo?
Beyond the beach, there isn't much nearby in the way of green space for you and your pup. But if you are here on vacation, the two of you can visit some of the local state parks.
If you go north on Beach St. through Ormond Beach, the road will take you to Tomoka and Bulow Creek State Parks. Tomoka State Park offers plenty of dense forest, a half-mile long nature trail, and the site of a 1,500-year-old Timucuan Indian village. Bulow Creek State Park is the former home of the Bulow Plantation. You can still see the ruins of the plantation buildings as you hike along several trails. The park is also home to the Fairchild Oak which is one of biggest live oaks in the south. The tree is 400 years old and, if it could talk, would be able to attest to the many things it has seen in its lifetime.
