Riverside Condos offer life on the banks of the Halifax River over on the beachside peninsula. At best, you are only a ten-minute walk from the beach, but being on this side of the peninsula helps cut down on the amount of traffic you have to deal with!

There are many advantages to having a condo on the beachside. You are close to the best restaurants in town for seafood, steaks, and many others. Those of you who are into the clubbing scene will find clubs all along A1A, most of which have decks out on the beach where you can dance the night away. Pet supply stores and dog parks are a bit harder to come by. However, it's a small price to pay for living here on the beachside where the summer sun never seems to stop shining and the ocean's waters are warm all summer long.

The terrain here is a blend of paved parking lots and residential blocks. Then there is the beach, a completely different type of terrain altogether.

If you and your dog want to get the most out of your walks, the best way to do so is to vary your walks. Some days, you can go around a few different blocks in the area. These will be your easy walking days. Other days, you can head over to the beach where the two of you can put the soft sand to good use giving your leg muscles a good workout. On the return journey, be sure to walk on the wet sand as it offers a different type of terrain to walk on and one that is much easier to traverse.

Be sure to take your walking shoes and socks off so you can run around in the surf with your dog and have a little fun cooling off!

You might think living on the beachside would provide for more green space than just the beach, but such is not the case as the entire peninsula is heavily developed for miles in either direction. This being said, if you hop back over to the mainland side and truly feel like getting out for a day trip, you can cruise over to the Ocala National Forest which is listed as the "Oldest National Forest East of the Mississippi River."

The forest measures over 400,000 acres of palmetto wilderness, sand-pine scrub, and subtropical forest. Inside the forest, you will find 219 miles of trails for you to hike, 600 lakes, many of which are for boating, and miles of endangered flora and fauna for everyone to enjoy. If you feel like coming for the weekend, the forest offers 18 developed campgrounds and a further 24 primitive sites for those that want to get away from it all!
