Live Oak Villas Condo South sits on Live Oak Street, one block west of US-1 and, like most of the residential properties on this side of the highway, there are plenty of shade trees. Between the condos and the highway, there several businesses including a drive-through car wash. There are plenty of open spaces for you and your dog to go walking on and the FEC railroad tracks sit to the west.
Living here puts you close to a Sav-a-Lot supermarket where you should be able to find food for your entire family, including your fluffball. One block to the north on US-1 and you will be in New Smyrna Beach where there are plenty of places to shop and eat. Although there may not be any parks within walking distance, there is still plenty of open space for you and Fluffy to go for walks and play, less than a block from your home.
Although US-1 is a bustling highway that stays busy all day, Live Oak Street sees very little in the way of traffic. West Knapp Avenue, which takes you to the highway, tends to get busy in the morning when people from the housing area to the south take off for work and when they return in the afternoon. However, even during these times, the traffic isn't much.
The one thing missing is a sidewalk for you and your pooch to use for your daily walks. You should avoid going for walks during these times, so you don't have to worry about getting in the way of someone hurrying to work in their car. Keep in mind that they aren't looking for you! Most are more worried about getting to work or sipping on their coffee. You can easily avoid this problem by taking your walks early in the morning before the rest of the world around you comes to life.
When it comes to green spaces, you are in luck. The Live Oak Villas Condo South has small copses of woods on either side. However, the woods to the south have homes buried in them, which is not somewhere to take your dog out walking. Despite this, you can walk around in the woodlands to the north.
North of the condo, there is a large paved parking lot and field of grass the two of you can use for your daily walks and playtime. Better yet, to the west, there is a vast field of grass with plenty of trees that makes a great place to run around and play. The railroad tracks run along the western edge of the field, but you shouldn't go walking there as it is trespassing and, if you happen to be there when a train is going by, the airflow could suck you or your dog under the cars as they pass.
