Top dog walkers in DiamoHead Point Condo
Wag! Walkers know DiamoHead Point Condo
Diamond Head Point Condo has the distinct advantage of being on the northernmost point of North Causeway Island, looking out into the Indian River. Living here puts you with five to ten minutes of the Atlantic Ocean and miles of beach for you and your dog to enjoy. The island offers two restaurants with plenty more just a short drive towards the beach.
The condos offer private docking for residents and there is a park just across the street. However, keep in mind that the causeway itself is a bustling road leading to and from the beach. For most things such as groceries and pet supplies, a trip to either the peninsula or back to the mainland will be necessary.
Being on the water does tend to help keep things feeling a little cooler on those scorching hot days of summer. At the same time, it can also make it feel a little chillier.
What is the terrain like in DiamoHead Point Condo?
Being on an island, you might expect traffic to be very light, but since this island also has one of the main arteries from the mainland side over to the peninsula, it can be very busy. The island itself is very flat as you might expect, but there are at least roads you can use to take your dog for a walk.
If you are up for the walk, the causeway features a sidewalk on each side with a concrete barrier between you and the vehicles for added safety. It's a bit of a walk, but early in the morning with the breeze blowing in off the water, it can be the starting point for a nice long stroll on the beach.
Here on the island, you can use the walking paths around the condo to take your dog for walks. Expect to see a fair amount of pedestrian traffic as there are plenty of people going for walks on the island.
How many greenways are there in DiamoHead Point Condo?
You live on an island in the middle of the Indian River, yet there are plenty of green spaces for you and your dog to use. All around the Diamond Head Point Condo are vast areas of grass with walking paths running throughout that take you to the private docks and along the waterfront.
Across the causeway is Buena Vista Park, a small park with walking paths, more grass, and shady pavilions. The park also has a public dock that you can occasionally see dolphin from. You can also fish from the dock and bring a picnic with you or simply hang out with your dog!
However, if you are looking for a bigger area, you are only a short drive from any one of the many entrances to the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve. Covering more than 1,600 acres, the two of you can follow three miles of trails past the 15-foot observation tower all the way to Rose Bay.
