Perhaps one of the biggest advantages of living in Moontide Condo is being able to watch the sunrise from your balcony. There is nothing quite like it anywhere else! The skies are clear and the colors are spectacular. Not only is the sunrise right off your balcony, but the beach is just on the other side of the swimming pool and deck.
Nearby parks include the 27th Avenue Park and the Indian River Lagoon Park. Along with these parks, there are several other larger green spaces for you to take your dog for walks in on hot summer days.
For those of you who like to eat out, there are numerous restaurants within a ten-minute drive of your condo. The same applies to places to stock your pantry and to keep Fido's food bowl full all along E 3rd Avenue. A short drive to the north is historic Flagler Avenue where you will find a number of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Living on the beach does have its disadvantages, one of which is being sandblasted when the winds are blowing. This would be a good time to take your walks on the other side of S Atlantic Avenue in the residential areas where the houses will block the wind.
During peak seasons, you can expect S Atlantic Avenue to be a very busy street from sunup far into the night. If you must walk your dog along this very busy street, be prepared to deal with a lot of pedestrian traffic and keep your dog on a short leash for protection.
If you prefer to walk where there is far less traffic, you will need to cross S Atlantic Avenue and make use of the residential areas. The final thing you will have to deal with here is the lack of sidewalks for the two of you to walk on safely, so extra care is needed to avoid accidents.
Living in the Moontide Condo puts you within walking distance of three very sizeable green spaces where you and your dog are very welcome to come and walk. First is, of course, the beach. Running for miles to the south and all the way to Ponce Inlet, the two of you can walk on the soft sand or the wet hard-packed sand at the water's edge for two different walking experiences.
On the other side of the peninsula is Indian River Lagoon Park, where you and your dog can enjoy long walks in the shade. The park also offers a fishing pier along with a picnic pavilion and plenty of grass to play in. Here, you can also take a canoe out into the other massive green space, Mosquito Lagoon Aquatic Preserve. The preserve is a mass of waterways that you can easily get lost in, but offers so much beauty to see, including a resident dolphin pod.
