industrial zones, multiple golf courses, and the New Smyrna Beach Airport. The type
of neighborhood you live in will depend on where you live, but for

What is the terrain like in North Mainland?
The area itself is exceptionally flat and rather unexceptional
throughout the New Smyrna Beach area. As for walking conditions for you and
your dog, they vary significantly depending on what part of the North Mainland
area you live in. For example, if you
live in one of the many golf club communities, you aren't likely to encounter
much in the way of traffic beyond rush hours. But if you live more towards the
center of town, the traffic is likely to

find sidewalks in some areas for you and your dog to go walking on while, in
others, you have no choice but to walk on the roads. When this is the case, be sure

How many greenways are there in North Mainland?
While there is any
number of small parks throughout North Mainland, we are going to take a look at
three of the biggest. The first is the beach itself with miles of sand and surf
for the two of you to enjoy. The soft sand
offers a great workout and the wet sand offers a much easier walk with the added fun of
walking in the waves to cool your feet.
Second is the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve that covers
over 1,600 acres of Florida swamps and forests. There are miles of trails for
you and your dog to hike all the way north to Rose Bay if you are up for it.
Finally, there is the S Tomoka Wildlife
Management Area which is part of the 30,000 acres comprising the Tiger
Bay Wildlife Management Area, offering you miles trails to explore while you look
for the many different species of animals who live here.
