Top dog walkers in Riverside On The Park
Wag! Walkers know Riverside On The Park
Riverside on the Park condominiums can be found at 200 S Riverside Drive or right across the street from Riverside Park. You have a spectacular view of Indian River North where you can sit in your living room or over in the park with your dog and watch the boats go by. This is a great central location with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and more nearby. Access to the S Causeway Bridge leads over to the beach.
Most of the area is a blend of homes, businesses, the Civil Court, and the New Smyrna Museum of History. Riverside Park is only one of several green spaces in the area, but it has plenty of room for you and your dog to go for walks and play. The one thing the park does not have a lot of is shade to help you stay away from the scorching summer sun that shines down for weeks at a time.
What is the terrain like in Riverside On The Park?
There is no getting around it, this is a bustling part of town. Between the courts, the marina, and the causeway, the vehicular traffic can be very heavy during the day. With a park right across the street that is very popular with anglers, you should also expect to see a fair amount of pedestrian traffic. You can use the park and the grass walkway that runs down the riverside to walk away from the crowds, but you will still need to keep them on a tight leash.
This same wide green space runs north of the park along the riverbank and all the way up to the end of Riverside Drive. It can be a great way for both of you to log some serious miles on ground that is far more comfortable to walk on. As a busy commercial area, you should try to keep your walks to daylight hours or walk with a friend for safety.
How many greenways are there in Riverside On The Park?
Despite being in a densely built-up area, there are plenty of green places you can take your dogs for walks. The closest is Riverside Park across the street where, on any given day, you will find plenty of anglers along the riverside testing their skills and luck. The park also offers numerous walking trails and lots of grass to play on. There are a few shade trees you can both use to get out of the sun for a few minutes and cool down.
Three blocks north is the Old Fort Park. Within the boundaries of the park are the ruins of an old fort that no one has a clue when or why it was built. The park itself covers an entire city block with walking trails, shade trees, and plenty of grass for the two of you to walk on or simply run around on and have a good time playing.
